Coup de Drink (D8, LE)

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi sat at a table by herself as the crowd around her celebrated the victories of the day. The outpouring of emotion after the aversion of one’s planet’s narrow avoidance of destruction was something she had witnessed a few times over the past years.

She understood it… was happy to see it… but never really resonated deep in her soul. Broken soldier that she was… she always felt more comfortable in the chaos than the peace afterwards. She unwound in her own way… slowly downing beverages while staring at the table until the fidgeting in her feet and fingers would slow…

[Omandri Rist]

The good doctor had had most of his Wounds tened to and now sat at the bar with a beer in hand relaxing and just enjoying, well, being alive.

It was one hell of a day, kriff one hell of a week but he doubted things were gonna slow down anytime soon. Good to take moments to relax when they pop up.

[Jocasta Teraan]

Joran was resting. She wanted to stay by his side, but the best thing for him now was peace and quiet and Jocasta hadn't anything since lunch.

Typically she would be fine eating alone in her room, but something about the day's events had drawn her to Bar Shaddaa. She wasn't looking for anyone or anything in particular (except a little sustenance), she just wanted to be around people, to see people going about their lives.

She ordered some random pub fare from the menu and a beer.

After finally getting his head together, he entered the bar and stared at it. It was at least one of the few things the people decided not to destroy. Says something about humans, really. Destroy their precious artifacts, their history, their civilization. But never their vices. Sitting down, he looked to the good doctor and knocked on the bar with his knuckles to indicate a greeting, nodding to him in passingwhile looking at the woman who he had seen around before, but never met. However, his immediate focus was on Lt. Teraan.

"Lt..." He said while sitting down, his face once again having looked at it. "I think your dress was a poor decision. But, still, I must thank you for helping me thru this social obligation in your own way. I hope I never have to experience it again." He stared at her for a few moments longer. "Still, even if your advice was not helpful, you were ultimately useful..." Looking on, turned to the bartender for a whiskey and shrugged. "...and I am glad you are still alive." He turned to the Rist and shrugged. "You as well, my underwear modeling drinking companion."

He then turned to the woman in the background. "You too...whoever you are."

Jocasta was a bit taken aback by Nudimsu's jump into conversation, it was such a non sequitur to everything that had happened. At first she thought maybe he had missed all the excitement, but then she remembered him heading into the throne room while she was leaving with Joran.

She chalked it up to his alien sensibilities and, after a few awkward extra seconds of silence while she processed all this, answered, "I'm sorry she didn't like the dress... You didn't give it to her after all of this did you?" Even a Sith had to be thrown off by today. "Anyway, thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you're alive too. Are you hungry? I ordered.... I forget what I ordered, but I'm sure we can order some more."

Starting to snap out of her stupor, she sees that Nudimsu was addressing Omandri (underwear model?) and Delmi.

"Major, Doctor, care to join us?"

[Nudimsu]

"The matter is resolved..." He said with a small nod. "...And that is the end of it. It was, no doubt, a difficult time; I see no reason to dwell on it further."

He looked at the bartender deliver his drink and nodded, picking it up. "Thank you." And took the drink to his lips for a small moment. "No, I find myself unable to eat after the events of the day. I can stand to drink a little, though."

Nothing about the coup sat well with her, but the danger had come and gone. If this tension snap was part of a tunnel operation, then there was nothing she or anyone else could do about it. Eventually the puzzle would complete itself. For now she was going to enjoy herself. After all this was the most alive she had felt in a long time.

Inside the bars of every planet nothing seemed to change. Even after the all the fighting the damage was cleaned up quickly, and the people were busy celebrating en masse. She beamed and found a place a little ways away from the others.

"Drinks still free?" She asked the tender, "Good, cognac! matter of fact Abrax!" Once delivered she started on the spicy liquor with gusto.

Omandri looked up and returned Nudimsu's nod as the Chiss passed.

Then he heard Nudimsu refer to him as underwear model and laughed a good hard laugh that he hadn't had in awhile "Oh man Nudes that is not Profession certainly not for a long time. But all the same I'm glad you made it out too."

He looked to Jocasta and paused but nodded and shifted to sit at the table giving her a grin "Let's make a no politics rule tonight, if that's OK with you?" He said with a clearly joking tone.

Seeing Breela she would get a warm smile and a wave as well. Obviously welcome but not obligated to join them.

[Nudimsu]

He stares at the two of them, doing his best to hide a smirk at the Rist's commentary. "Oh good, you are still alive as well, Breela." He points at her. "I would say that I, for one, have had quite enough of Alderaanian politics for the day and would be eager not to discuss it further. Chiss celebrate when the job is done, and that is what I aim to do. My crewmates are safe, casualties could be worse, and the foes are routed. I don't know about the rest of you, but that sounds like a favorable conclusion to this conflict. "

He raised his glass and looked to the others. "Bsen'v ch'at to van'vi, bsen'v tsi to ran'zezo." He paused and looked at them. "Drink to the victory, drink for the fallen."

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi raised her glass and nodded at the people who gave their greetings, but as the group grew in size she elected to stay at her own table and continue imbibing on her own for the moment.

[Breela Po]

The spicy aquamarine beverage flooded her senses with warmth. Then seeing Omandri and the others she waved back and joined them. "To the victory, the fallen, and to those who will rise again." She added then downed a shot of her cognac. "I'm glad to see you too Nudie." She pats Nudie on the shoulder then pecks Omandri on the cheek before sitting down. "I'm mostly just glad that the tension is out the air."

"Hello there," Breela extends her hand to the pretty red haired Lieutenant, "I'm Breela Po, gym owner and..." she debates for a second then shrugs, "... Jedi."

[Nudimsu]

There was a long stare at the term Nudie. "The tension will return if you ever call me 'Nudie' again. Or Nudes. I am well clothed, thank you and there is no e in my short name, nor in my proper name. I don't dismiss your Cathar name by calling you...Bree. Or your human name by calling you 'Oh Man'." He grabbed the drink and looked at the both of them. "So, you've returned to the Order, then."

He drank his drink once more and shrugged. "A pity, but it is your own decision what you do with your life."

[Jocasta Teraan]

Answering Omandri, she says agreeably, "Yes, I think we've all had enough politics for the day."

Listening to Nudimsu's toast, she raises her glass and adds, "Drink for those who remain and let them learn this experience."

Jocasta raises her hand to meet Breela's. "I am honored to meet you Knight Po, you must be the same Farghul we can thank for clearing the comms jammers."

Before she could say any more, a server droid brought a platter the same size as the tabletop, laden with nachos covered in various meats, cheeses, and other accoutrements as well as bowls along the perimeter with different sauces. It seems she should've been paying more attention when she ordered.

Gesturing to the food she offered, "Anyone else hungry.... please?"

[Breela Po]

"Cathar!" She glared, "Do I look like some thin eared, smushfaced, alley cat?! I'm a Farghul ya' blue prick!" She huffed and took another shot of Cognac.

Jocasta raises her hand to meet Breela's. "I am honored to meet you Knight Po, you must be the same Farghul we can thank for clearing the comms jammers."

At that though she turns red, "That would be me, though I couldn't have done it without Baesal, and Daz believe it or not." Once the food arrives, "Ohhhh I could eat." She then grabs a plate.

"A what?" He looked rather stunned at the revelation of her actual species.

At some point, a Jedi strolled in. One who was supposed to be *dead*.

*Again.*

The fact that she could say she's been run through by a sword and/or lightsaber in the chest in what should have definitely been a fatal blow not once, but *twice* in her lifetime was kind of insane if you really stopped to think about it. And that wasn't counting the times when she'd gotten stabbed or slashed by such implements in other place. It was also rather crazy she was just walking about; okay, more like stumbling; looking for a drink, mere hours after it had happened.

The first time it had happened, she stopped being a Sith and joined the Order almost right away. Nothing so drastic would happen this time around. Or at least she hadn't planned on it.

Still a little woozy from the drugs and injury, and not really caring if the synthflesh was gonna hold, she'd made her way here; and now went to the bar; not yet noticing any familiar faces.

"Something... good."

"Something... good?" The bartender might've asked.

"Strong."

"Coming up."

[Breela Po]

"A what?" He looked rather stunned at the revelation of her actual species.

She rolls her eyes, "A farghul, I was born on Farrfin we're a completely different species." She shakes off the sudden irritation, "Sorry that was a childish reaction on my part. Also I'd be perfectly fine with you calling me Bree. For most speakers of common it's a show of endearment to shorten a name. The act promotes comradery, unity, a sense of belonging. I meant no offense and will endeavor to use your full name from now on."

Seeing the mostly dead woman on her feet again caught Delmi’s eye. She finished her drink and came over next to Layne and took a seat. She motioned for another beverage and gave Layne a quick look out of the side of her eye.

“You look terrible.”

"Thanks," she said, waiting for the drink to be made. Which didn't take a lot since it was just being poured straight from the bottle. No fancy cocktails for Layne.

"I *feel* worse."

[Delmi Koor]

"You lived through it though... Not sure if that feels better or worse right now though." She replied.

"And you stalled Coup Ulgo long enough for us to show up and end his little cosplay convention."
