"I was hurt this morning. I haven't had a chance to get it looked at yet." he explained. "But, I'll be fine."

Well, they were alone now. Just the two of them. He had to keep her off him while he made his move. Wingman stuff.

Just had to come up with something else to talk about with Lana. "So..." He looked at her for a long moment. "...I am unsure of your social norms at this point, but I presume that I should ask you to dance as well, as they have left. If you would like to, of course. Or we can pass the time to talk about other things. We seem to have a similar mindset, it seems. You're not as, well, emotional in your thinking as other humans."

It was still there, especially with her attempts to discredit Gal (even he could see that), but there was a small pleasure he had from speaking to her.

Jameela seemed concerned and said, "Well I hope you get that looked at, were you hurt at the Festival?"

Lana sipped her wine and then focused her yellow eyes on the Chiss for a long moment. She responded, “Rational thinking is not as common as it should be, Nudimsu.”

She stood and offered her hand.

Jameela seemed concerned and said, "Well I hope you get that looked at, were you hurt at the Festival?"

OOC: Galen and Nudimsu, Jameela liked that.

He shook his head. "We dealt with the kath hounds that were attacking people yesterday. This morning, we went back out to find out what had corrupted and mutated them. There was a machine and these dark spirits. I destroyed the machine, but one of the spirits burned my arm."

"But, they're gone now. The people will be safe." he smiled. "I'll have this looked at tonight, I promise."

"Spirits?" she said quizzically, "Like ghosts? That's a thing?"

"There are many things in this universe beyond what we understand." he nodded. "I've encountered both benevolent and malevolent ghosts. Perhaps they're just echoes in the Force, but they seemed fairly willful to me."

[Nudimsu]

Lana sipped her wine and then focused her yellow eyes on the Chiss for a long moment. She responded, “Rational thinking is not as common as it should be, Nudimsu.”

She stood and offered her hand.

"The Galaxy would be better off if it were, Lana."

He stared at her eyes with his own for the remainder, not really shifting from her look. He stood up on his own and took her hand, moving.towards the dance floor. Getting within the area of other two, but just enough distance to give them some space, he listened to the music for a few moments to understand how the beat of this song was going to understand the 2nd and the 4th beat. It was all just processing in his head.

He began to start to move to the beat first close to her, assessing her ability to keep up before deciding if he could increase his movements. "How are you finding this festival, Lana?" He looked at her, seeing the heat off her face.

"What is that like? I have never... I didn't think such things were real," she admitted.

“Alderaan culture is entirely too… optimistic and cheery for my tastes but it is endearing on some level. This must be a fair bit different from the Ascendency?” she responded calmly.

Nudimsu looked at her for a moment with red dash of his eyes and nodded. "The political structure seems in quite disarray, from my perspective. Cheun has a similar structure of Houses among our people, but no king or queen to muddle the efforts. These riots, especially, would have been dealt with already in a peaceful, but efficient manner. "

He looks at her and starts to take the lead a little in the dance. "Still, this is a well maintained planet and quite enjoyable to look. Coming from a ice planet, myself, seeing the lush greenery and colors is quite the sight. I've even at times, for a few small moments, found myself relaxing a little."

He paused and turned his red eyes at her. "Rather unnerving how one can be swept up with such things. Much like the feeling of romance and love this festival is supposed to help induce upon the masses. The Ascendency would never debase ourselves to celebrate such things. We celebrate our victories and admirable events within our House."

"What is that like? I have never... I didn't think such things were real," she admitted.

"Some things don't feel real until you experience them." he smiled, as they continued to dance. "The Force and the things connected to it are hard to explain. It's a part of me, a part of all of us, all living things. It feels familiar and comfortable, like a song you've known all your life."

"But, then there's the other part, that feels vast and unfathomable, like an ocean hiding things you'll never understand." he added. "I don't much care for that part."

“Alderaan has a rich history but like the Republic is chaotic and by design, rule of the people and although they still have an exclusive class of privilege much of the day to day is seen to by their Parliament and democratic norms. I find it interesting how they have melded the two philosophies,” she said calmly.

“I never really understood the Force, just chalked it up to space magic, not the most scientific approach but that seems the easiest to reconcile with my own education,” she admitted.

"I think it may just be one of those things that can't be fully understood." he nodded. "Like Instinct and emotion. They may be associated with various physiological shifts, but it doesn't seem that simple."

"There was attempt this morning, to make me think you were in danger.
Rationally, it made no sense, but the thought still filled me with dread." he explained. "The thought of you being harmed or worse, inspired fear, anger and guilt. Even after the threat was gone, I was worried. I wasn't at ease until I saw you."

She listened and responded, "Well thanks but I don't need to be protected, I am fine. What happened?"

"I know, but some feelings defy reason." he said. "I heard your voice, calling out for help. A trick of the darkness we were facing."

I find it interesting how they have melded the two philosophies,” she said calmly.

He listened to her as he spoke and nodded along, continuing to sway her along with the music. "Yes, it is rather interesting that, despite themselves and the fundamental flaws of their system, they've managed to maintain some sense of stability, flawed and shakey that it appears to be. "He paused for a moment. "I cannot say, however, I understand much of the political systems around me; I can only see what is around me and compare it to what it is I have known." Nudimsu gazed upon her with his red eyes. "I was placed within the Ascendency to where I would be strong and benefit everyone. Not to mention, our isolation until as of late has left me rather unprepared for the rest of this Galaxy and its varied systems and cultures. If there is one benefit to this Alliance between my people and yours, it is that we may expand our knowledge of these things. Even if they are flawed, it is important to know why they are so."

He turned extended her out a little and moved once again to the beat before bringing her back in close. "You seem to be able to keep pace at this well. Do you do dance often?"

"I know, but some feelings defy reason." he said. "I heard your voice, calling out for help. A trick of the darkness we were facing."

“The darkness, is this the dark side of the Force? I have heard about this but never really understood that or the Force in any real capacity. I have asked Lana but her explanations tend to leave me with more questions,” she said honestly.

At the question of dancing Lana said, “Yes.”

She then added, “That is similar to the Empire and even worlds within the Republic, not everyRepublic world operates in the same manner as Alderaan and its territories. It’s an admittedly surprising strength even if it is a source of great division and difference. It gives the Galactic Republic unpredictability and verisimilitude.”
