“The darkness, is this the dark side of the Force? I have heard about this but never really understood that or the Force in any real capacity. I have asked Lana but her explanations tend to leave me with more questions,” she said honestly.

"I'm neither Jedi nor Sith. They both favor certain aspects of the Force." he explained. "Emotion affects our control and how we channel the power through us. The Dark Side is empowered by our darker impulses, fear, anger and aggression. The Light comes from peace, contentment and selflessness. I don't believe one side is necessarily better than the other, though I do avoid the darkness when I can. I don't care for the things I've done out of fear and rage, or how easy it is to follow those urges. But, I don't think you should cut yourself off from them either. Fear, love, grief, joy, anger and pleasure are all bound together. I'd rather experience all of them, than none of them."

"Yes, the individuality of the Republic is a source of strength and frustration at the same time. Suppose it's been rather refreshing to experience after leaving. At least it makes some sense, unlike the Mandalorian culture." His facial structure changed a little when mentioning them, looking at little bit more annoyed than before. "Though, I suppose you are quite right. It's designed to let them govern themselves as they see fit, so long as they can follow maintain certain aspects that unite them all in key ways. A Republic works well in that regard. The problem therein lies with the chaos that it form, as you said. Can't always unite and do what must be done. The Empire, at least, gives them someone to point to and focus their attention. Remove yourselves from the equation, however, and who knows how long it will last. Probably until some other problem comes their way that they can focus their collective attention on again, I suppose."

He shrugged, then spun her around a little before moving close. "I cannot say for certain if the Empire has such dependency, since my experience with them has been limited. You're all but barred from entering Csilla, and I only flew a few missions under our Alliance before I left."

Jameela smiled and said, “I am not sure I will ever fully understand, but it sounds fascinating. Like a whole different aspect of reality I can’t even access or perceive.”

"I'll share what I can with you." he smiled back. "I want to share everything with you."

[Lana Beniko]

Lana replied, “The Empire is… orderly but the Sith Order thrives on chaos and betrayal and conflict. These make us strong but it can be… counterproductive. Still, like you, it is what I know and understand.”

“You are not a terrible dancer, Nudimsu.”

The two off the cuff couples continue their dance for some moments more before the women depart though jameela leaves with a smile, Lana... well she just leaves with the Princess.
