Great Morning [Day 4, MM]

[Riss]

Riss hadn't exactly thought about sleepwear and thus relied entirely on the sheets to be her defense against any potential marauding children. Waking up this early was new to her, and the sun was a weird tone of brightness which made burying her head under the sheets all too necessary otherwise she might do that dreaded thing called waking up. Still, she put up enough of a fuss about it the fact she was awake and staying that way wasn't exactly a secret anymore.

[Dapper Dog]

There as a young girl sitting on the bed watching her and then she shouted, "Hey she's awake!"

[Riss]

Riss winces a little with the loud noise, half burying her head some more before pulling it out from under the covers, "Yea, yea, I'm awake," she groans as the light hits her eyes.

"How.. long have you been there?" she asks, voice groggy. A careful and calculated stretch under the covers as she tries a little bit harder to wake herself up.

[Dapper Dog]

"Long enough, Dad's making breakfast he said to make sure Riss comes down when she wakes up. Oh and there are some clothes for you. I wish my friends got to stay over for a sleepover," she said walking out the door.

[Riss]

Riss watches her as the flurry of words happen, and then she flies back out the door. Puzzled expression she lays there a moment, "What a strange girl.." a smile cracks, "she's my favorite," she groans and slowly gets out of bed. "Already decided," she chuckles to herself, and slides to the edge of the bed.

Bare feet against the floor she sits there a moment. Rubbing her face, going through the motions, everything to get herself moving and more present than she really way. Slowly she eventually rose and got herself dressed in the presented clothing, taking a good look over the assorted clothes as well taking a moment to sniff it and see what it smelled like out of habit.

Satisfied enough she would dress and find her way to a bathroom, and eventually to join the others.

Downstairs the kitchen is busy with Bryson cooking and the kids helping or playing.

A droid is helping as well, but it was controlled chaos.

[Riss]

Taking a glance around to take it all in, an inhale of the smells of a kitchen at work. Riss moves through that bit of controlled chaos to mark her path, finding herself something of the breakfast which was more done than the rest and plopping it into her mouth before it was truly ready. "Heyy you, mornin'" she says with that warm morning-voice people put on. Leaning back against the counter she reaches out and gives his shirt a little tug. Looking up to him as she slides back against the counter a little, "I.. wanna offer to help, but before I do you should know I grew up with cooks and lived with instant-food or whatever I could buy on the go."

[Dapper Dog]

"I think I can manage," he offered. "It's nearly done. This is normal for me, maybe not so much for you."

[Riss]

"Not even a bit," she says, righting herself she leans over and snatches another bit of food. Holding the piece in hand she leans in while he's cooking, gives a quick kiss on the cheek, and then moves about to find some place she can sit and watch.

Relaxing in she settles first, and then starts, "So.. it's really done then? Me and Bo are out?"

[Dapper Dog]

"They have called off the contract, it is satisfied. It was a near thing but you did your part and I told you I would do mine," he said warmly. He brushed by her kissing her forehead and then took something out of an oven.

[Riss]

Riss' smile in the moment was warm, rising with the kiss but holding strength from the relief of it all. For just about half a week she got to feel that feeling of impending doom, and bottle it way way down. Which was best done by dumping the contents of other bottles on top of it, and people. Focusing back on one of those very people, "Each played out part.. still feel like my part was pretty small. You sure you even actually needed me for it, or.. just helping out a girl in need?" she says with that same warmth as she smiles, tilting her head in that curious manner.

"You worry a lot for someone so carefree, Riss," he offered. The children settled in to eat as he stood in the kitchen with Riss.

He added, "It's done, you don't have to worry."

[Riss]

Taking that moment she comes up to him, places her hands on his side, "Just.. wondering how appreciative I should be is all, mm?" she suggests, a soft chuckle. Looking to meet his eyes a smile grows, "It's not every week I get threatened with impending death for me and my brother, and then get saved from it, mm?" she chuckles.

As she stands there with him a moment, she looks to his lips and though it's clear she wants to kiss him, there is another part, a stronger part, of her is waiting for him to kiss her instead.

"You don't owe anyone anything, just keep on living. It's what I do," he said honestly.

[Riss]

"Okay," she says, a little less pep in her step but she still leans in and kisses his cheek. Stepping away, "Well, let's go eat and I'll get to enjoying that whole living thing you helped me with," she chuckles, shaking her head.

"Some.. Captain.. major, whatever, an Organa wants to meet with me, have me help him with this kid, so I won't stick around too long after breakfast."

[Dapper Dog]

"Well we both knew this was always temporary," he admitted with a nod.

[Riss]

"Well, yea," she says, measuring him a moment to be sure that she wasn't seeing anything different. Crossing her arms over her mid-section she continues, "I do like you a lot though, you've been good to me, mm? So, I'd.. like to come back again before I leave at least. Maybe even a few times more if you're feeling lonely? No pressure if you think it'd be too much on the kids though.." she offers a half-smile, a raise of her shoulders.

"Would be nice to know I have this place to come back to if I need.. or if I'm lonely," she says with a light, warm chuckle.

[Dapper Dog]

"We can be your weigh station," he smirked before eating some food while in the kitchen. "Your port of normalcy in your space of chaos."

[Riss]

Riss smiles brightly, there's that undeniable warmth to it, "You.. might have a good idea of how much that means," she laughs with that same warmth. Stepping forward she wraps her arms around his torso for a quick hug, a few seconds and not much longer. Giving him an affectionate squeeze before she steps back.

"Thank you, for everything Bryson," she says, putting her free hand on her hip. Popping the bit of food she stole while she was next to him into her mouth.

"So, breakfast then?" she says cheerily mid-chew.

"Breakfast," he responded and joined his tribe.
