(D5 MM) The Truth is Out There

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella, all fresh in the morning, dragged Riss towards their jogging path despite any sort of resistance.. "It's lovely here, just like the two of us! Really, though, getting the blood pumping is going to get rid of any of that drowsiness and get you ready for the day, okay?"

[Riss]

Grumbling all the way, she did at least have the sense to put herself in clothes more appropriate for jogging. Even if she still tried to get herself out of it the whole way over. That Cynella likely had to almost actively lead her along wouldn't give her much option for escape however, not wanting to give Cynella a hard no, "Can't we get rid of drowsiness by.. like, crawling back into bed or something?" she says, holding her hand up over her eyes to shield from the rays.

[Cynella Andrim]

"And then your sleep schedule would be all messed up for, well, until you reset it!" Cynella turned back around and pursed her lips. "You can have my visor if you want, though I really think you should buy one. Oh and you did put on sunscreen, right?"

[Riss]

"People have sleep schedules?" she said with that half-incredulous tone. Looking to Cyn she shakes her head at the offer for a visor, "Thanks but- what do you mean? Just how much effort to I have to put into this thing before we even start jogging?"

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella gasped. "What? Darling, if you don't try to cover your face up, it'll get all wrinkly due to the sun! We really can't be having that." She reached into her fanny pack and pulled out some. "It's better late than never... but really, how would you ever get along without me, hm?"

[Riss]

"Well, for one- I'd still be sleeping," she says, there's no hint of a tease before she puts a hand on Cynella's arm and gives it a little light slap on the bicep. A small laugh as she glances off toward the side to find them a bench and walks over to sit down for the moment. A perfect excuse, "I.. don't spend as much time in the sun as most people," she says, another laugh. "Would have to sleep at.. decent hours for that?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"Oh my gosh, but even when you're walking around during the day... and you need to reapply it too!" Cynella shook her head as Riss did, well, everything that she always did. "Like after I take my shower, I'm going to have to do it again."

She motioned for them to get going by spinning her arm. "Come on, keep moving. A bit of a warmup walk won't hurt you. We really should get your routine back in check if you're going to be a," she stopped, glancing around so nobody would eavesdrop, "noblewoman with a right and proper schedule."

[Riss]

With a slight groan she joins back up to Cynella's side, "You know. I tend to get enough exercise anyway right, I mean," she takes a few quicker steps ahead and spreads her arms. Showing herself off, "I mean.. if it works, it works right" she chuckles, doing a little spin.

[Cynella Andrim]

"That's not nearly the same thing. It'll keep you thin, sure, but not strong," Cynella said, rolling her eyes. "I have been meaning to ask you though... was that whole thing last night, uh, planned?"

[Riss]

"Huh?" she stops half-waybto flexing to suggest that she was, in fact, strong. Of course, that wasn't really true but she was gonna claim it. "I.. don't quite remember what thing you're talking about?" she asks, raising a brow.

"Could be the morning fog," she says waving a hand in front of her eyes a little bit.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Oh, I don't know, your big announcement?" Cynella shook her head. "How much did you even drink last night? Riss, darling..."

[Riss]

"O-oh, yea," she chuckles, bringing her hand up to her neck. "I've had.. quite the last few days, and last night especially so," another awkward chuckle as she glances down a bit.

"Just.. so much, and no-" she holds up a hand, "I don't mean I drank a whole lot. Actually.. drank less than I usually do. Got caught in this conversation with someone who doesn't drink. Drinking alone is.. awkward, depressing?" she shrugs, a light awkward smile.

[Cynella Andrim]

"So you're saying that the drinking inspired you to do that then? You realize that that can be an issue, right?" She placed her hand on her hips and shook her head. "I don't want to mother you but I am concerned though."

[Riss]

"Nah, not like that just mean that I've had a lot going on. Hard to remember which crazy thing someone's asking about," she laughs, awkwardly as she jogs up ahead a few steps, "but we came here to jog and not talk about my habits, mm?"

What the kriff did I just say.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Darling, I really wish you wouldn't be so evasive with me," Cynella said, shaking her head. "At the very least, you could try harder to distract me. I can most certainly maintain a jog while speaking. You, well, I'm not so sure!"

[Riss]

"I mean, I could," she suggests with a wife grin as she whips around. Starting to half-jogstep backwards as she looks to Cynella. "But... some of the more fun charms don't tend to work on you all the same as they do most folk," she adds with a smirk, even a little wink for good measure.

"So, I could always try something else~" she suggests with a leading tease to her tone. "How are things going with your search? Prince Joran? Or perhaps my favorite, the dashing Prince of Joral?" she laughs a little.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella rolled her eyes, though she couldn't help but smile. "You do know that I can enjoy having more intimate encounters with people, right? I'd just say I'm not at liberty to enjoy it as much as you are," she said without judgment. In fact, there was a tinge of envy in there.

"Fine, I suppose I can't force you to talk about something you don't want to," she said as she fell into step. "I do think those two are the highest on the candidate list at the moment. Though I do want to know your feelings about Prince Joran. Now that you've been to the dinner, it seems like you're a legitimate contender for, well, his hand. And based off of conversation before... well, I want to know if that's something you care deeply about or not."

[Riss]

"Which is exactly what I mean- kinda," she adds with a quick shrug. Keeping up the backwards half-jog she's doing. Continuing like this for a few moments while she considers her stance. Glancing up toward the sky a moment as if it had the answer.

"I like him.. enough to be interested, maybe. I just- I do need more of a chance to get to know him, mm? Figure out if he's.. even worth the effort? The time? He's charming, and damn I'm into it but- need to know more, way more. Otherwise I'm just.. signing up for a whole lot more than I'm ready for. A whole return to another life, you know?"

[Cynella Andrim]

"Kind of," she confirmed with a small smile. She'd run around Riss, motioning for her to put in more energy to the whole movement. Such was easy for somebody who dedicated so much time to this everyday.

"Ah. Well, in a way, I think I understand. There's barely been enough time to get to know him or, since you mentioned her, the Prince of Joral." She glanced up to the sky. "Whenever I think about them or any of the other suitors, there're more questions than, say, all the systems in the galaxy. Not all of them are super intense either but, come on, I don't even know what their favorite foods or colors are."

[Riss]

Riss furrows her brow a bit at that. Thinking as she continues to job backwards, a bit un-phased by the encouragement to put in more effort, "I always wonder why people go to colors.. I guess I get it? Such a basic thing and everyone has one but.." she chuckles, shaking her head. "Doesn't really matter too much. Anyways, Aurie's is-" she holds up a hand- "nah, I'll let her tell you," she scrunches her nose and shakes it at Cynella.

"Guess that's something we both need to focus on a bit then, mm? Figuring out who these people we're interested in actually are," she chuckles, there's a bit of disbelief mixed into her tone.
