One of the Organa guards was not going to take any chance, he could be the hero… well that is what he hoped others would think. It would be an easy ten grand for the shot and she was a terrorist anyway, win, win.

Tethys feels a dark chill and scrambles through the door with a cry of "Watch out!" But the clutter of cafe tables and chairs slows her down...

Faintly, she hopes the sudden bright glare of a lightsaber might at least put some hesitation in whomever is planning trouble.

Failed. Spend that LS for an Advantage and use it to at least keep the target from getting one-shotted? If that's no good, I'd also possibly be game to flip a Destiny for Tethys to try to take the hit herself.

The Organa guardsman pulled the trigger, the blaster rifle firing trying to take out the terrorist before she could do anything else. But destiny would intervene as the Jedi Knight dove and took the brunt of the attack meant for the woman!

A second too late, Tethys spots the threat, a guard in House Organa uniform taking aim.

There's no time to get to him or move Hyta to safety. She doesn't think, just reacts, the red blaster bolt and the bluegreen lightsaber blade both flashing at the same time.

"Oww." She staggers, winces... but doesn't collapse, though the blaster burn on her shoulder will make a fine addition to her collection.

Layne was faster than the captain was; and moved into action even before the order had been shouted. She'd already committed some of her connection to the Force elsewhere; so the other half of it was used to enhance her physique... but it really wasn't necessary; she was plenty athletic enough even without that little push.

The guard is easily taken down, he didn't carry evidence but a quick questioning reveals that the Cunning Man had put a price on the head of Hyta Jung to the tune of 15k credits.

Too much to pass up for disposing of a terrorist.

Niall breathed. "Well done, Layne, Tethys."

Another deep breath, adrenaline not quite faded. He looked back at Hyta. "We need to get her somewhere secure." He looked at the Jedi that weren't his wife. "Is there anywhere the Jedi have that you can hold her? The list of people I trust is growing rather short."

He paused a moment, looking at the guard. Would it be one of the ones he'd just fired, or would it be yet another betraying his duty?
