Emotion, yet Peace (Closed, D9 MM)

[Breela Po]

Breela finished ironing her old robes while sipping her caf. She had the equipment set up, double checked the projection. Everything was ready. Still she couldn't help but feel a little nervous. She had already put in the request yesterday morning for an audience with the council. Naturally that meant whoever was available to speak with her. Depending on who she got the conversation could be quick and painless. Or...

Once dressed and ready to go she looked in the mirror. There was a peace in what she saw, a completeness. I only hope that they are still receptive to me returning to active duty. But if they are not, it is the will of the force and I will accept their judgement. She sighs then turns to that old picture of her family. She smiles warmly without sadness. Whatever happens...

She starts the call and closes her eyes. Taking a moment to center herself before the connection.

"Good morning, where you are at least, Breela, we have received your petition. The Council would like for you to elaborate on this request," Satele said a she came on the holo from Tython.

[Breela Po]

She swallowed as a chunk of her conviction left her.

"Grandmaster," Breela bowed calmly, "for starters I would like to thank you for taking the time to speak with me. Now if I may cut to the heart of the matter I wish to be evaluated and given the chance to return to the temple as a Knight in service to the order." She sighed. "Grandmaster... Satele," she said hopefully, "I came to Alderaan at the pinnacle of remorse. Defeated, no..." she smiles softly, "broken, lost. Now..." She takes a moment to center herself. Then turns back to the projection with renewed confidence. "Now I'm at peace. With both the past and myself. And if I may be allowed to serve, I will."

She waits.

[Dapper Dog]

“That is good news to hear, Breela, and I am glad to hear you found some measure of peace and balance. I would be glad to discuss this further, come to Tython, the Council will further evaluate your petition and your state of mind, and we would be glad to have your experience serving the Jedi Order. But this is joyous news,” she said warmly.

“If you wish you can return with Jedi Master Thy Yulani, when her assignment is done.”

[Breela Po]

A decade's worth of stress seems to fall away. "Thank you, Satele." She smiles, "I'm grateful, and I'm always happy to help Thy. Force knows she's helped me plenty." She nods, "I'll find her this very day and lend a hand."

[Dapper Dog]

She nodded and said, "I look forward to seeing you again on Tython, may the Force be with you." The Jedi Grandmaster ended the call.

[Breela Po]

"And also with you." At the close of the connection she sighed.

Turning to the picture she gives Khaji and the children one last smile before she starts packing. First the Duke, then Thy.

[Baesal Zyn]

A few minutes passed and then there was a knock on the gym's door

[Breela Po]

Surprised Breela hops up to see who it is. "Coming!" She says and jogs to the front door.

"Baesal?" Breela blinks in surprise, "Good morning! Please come in, do you want some caf?" Breela holds the door open and ushers her inside.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Good morning to you too Breela...and...oh...I wouldn't refuse a caf'' she said with a smile ''How are you doing? No lingering wounds from yesterday?''

[Breela Po]

"Nope," Breela leads Baesal back to her office where several boxes are half way filled with her belongings, "apart from lingering stiffness and bruising, I've been given an otherwise clean bill of health." She takes the pot of caf and pours Baesal a mug, then refills her own. Afterwards she invites her to sit on the couch with her. "I'm glad you stopped by actually." She smiles warmly, "I just got off the holo with Satele. I- I'll be going back on active duty once I finish helping Thy with her mission." She looks down with a grin, "If not for you... and Daz," she adds wryly, "and of course Thy. I don't think that's the path I would have taken." She chews her nails pensively, "Without your light, I feel like I was destined for some deep dark well. But you gave me a place in your research, your hunts, and when I needed you most you were there." She beams, "So, from the bottom of my heart, you have my eternal thanks."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal stared a moment, the cup of caf hovering near her lips. She was not sure how to react.

''That...is certainly good news Breela but I admit I did not know you were in a dark place. I am sorry if I missed that"

She finally took a sip and smiled back

''But I am glad you surmounted the challenges that was laid before you. Daz, Thy and I might have helped along the way but the light came from you and nowhere else. You always had that strength.''

[Breela Po]

"Maybe." She laughs.
"And don't fret, you were busy - we all were." She smiles and takes a sip herself, "and we're going to stay busy I imagine. Now that we have a new threat to chase. One that I'm pretty sure succeeded here, with whatever they were doing."

She groans.

"I really just wish I knew what they were up to. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure it out. I mean why go through all the trouble to instigate an insurrection between houses if your true goal is to harm the Jedi, and the Sith?" She takes another sip then walks over to her desk to continue packing. "And the two houses that have nothing to do with either? I don't get it." She fills up one box then tapes and closes it. "A tunnel operation is my current theory. Creating a hole within the system, the infrastructure, that they stand ready to fill. And if that's the case we'll likely not know until it's to late how successful they were."

She picks up the box and moves it over next to the other ones. "Ohhh joy, now I get to take all of this stuff apart." She says looking at the tech that took her a day and a half to figure out and put together.

OOC: Sorry it took so long I passed out.

''The Cunning Man certainly played a risky game this time around...terrorist activities against the powerless in wartime is quite different from conspiring against powerful noble houses. He made a lot of dangerous and dedicated enemies today.''

She sips her caf...then she frowns severely

''...Prince Unther...were was he attacked?...''

[Breela Po]

"Prince... Unther?" She thinks back to the man at the spaceport that gave her an uneasy feeling during the riots. "I'm afraid I don't have that information. I remember watching the footage of the battlefields. I remember seeing the young dumb bearded one under the heal of the pretender. I remember Jameela and her mother at the Museum. I want to say he was there too wasn't he? The pale one?"



OOC: So you got eerie vibes from him as well huh? He was at the museum with his mother and sister.

[Baesal Zyn]

''All the royal family members were attacked yesterday...Gaul, Jameela, Joran and the Queen were attacked very publicly...but what about Unther? I heard he arrived in the museum after the attack started already wearing armor...''

she sipped her caf

''Where was he attacked?...We will have to find footage....just to be sure.'' she sighed ''Maybe we are paranoid''

[Breela Po]

"Feel free to use my computer if you like." Breela points to her desk. "We need to be very careful about how we go about investigating the Panteers though, they are above reproach on Alderaan. However..." She thinks carefully, "a known enemy is a valuable resource."
She grins, "When I was leading a resistance cell seven years ago I cultivated a mole by giving him valuable information that 'cost' us dearly. I carefully played up how dire our situation was and let him see disunity cripple our ranks. He reported to his masters in glee as our agents abandoned us, our support dried up, and our operations came crashing down." She chuckled. "When what I was really doing was isolating and controlling him. Our ranks were galvanized and our influence had spread to every corner quietly. He wasn't made aware of his failure until two hours before the planet was ours."

She puts her caf down and logs into the computer. "The footage was on the net as of yesterday. I'm not sure if it has been taken down or not."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Mmmmh...it is hard to get something off the net. Might still be there.''

[Breela Po]

She pulls up the footage at the museum. "Well I'll be, you're right there he is. Armored up and ready to go. Though he might have been tipped off." She furrows her brow watching. "He does appear to take injury here. Hmmm..." As she continues watching. "Well, it's suspect but he did take some knocks, might have nearly died."

She sighs

"Well, we'll simply need to err on the side of caution. I just don't think there's much we can do at this moment any way." She yawns, "I'll meet Thy here in a couple of hours and see what she thinks."

[Baesal Zyn]

''It's purely speculation...especially since the Prince was targeted by the disinformation cyberattack.'' she shook her head ''We should take our victories where we can''

She crossed her legs on the couch

''I will be busy with the killiks for the next few months...possibly years: I should keep my head on that.''
