[Day 9 - EN] Running the Maze

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"You are such a dork," she said with a smile, "but thank you, I like it."

"Ah'm glad," Garth replies, matching her infectious smile. "Ah hear it's mah most endearing quality." He quips as he extends an arm for her to loop through as they head into the maze.

"When they told me there'd be a runnin' of th' maze ah were expecting somethin' a little more energetic," he chats as they wander. "Ah much prefer this."

[Dapper Dog]

"I mean if you need something more energetic we can race to the end, but that won't be nearly as romantic," she teased.

[Jocasta Teraan]

"What will you take away from this Festival, and hopefully it's not the attempted coup," he said to them.

"Well, that is a loaded question. I know a few things I'll be leaving behind with the Festival." she says wistfully. "I suppose I will take away both a caution of leaning too much into my preconceptions and conversely a confidence in trusting my instincts."

Reaching down, Garth brushes a strand of hair out of Miyi's face, letting his hand linger on her cheek gently stroking her soft skin.

"Let's take our time, ah don' think we need t' rush anything t'night. B'sides mah heartbeat's already gettin' a workout around such a beautiful woman."

[Riss]

"What will you take away from this Festival, and hopefully it's not the attempted coup," he said to them.

"Loaded as they come," Riss joins in with that bit of the answer. Casting a glance her way from across Joran. Settling from it she lets her answer fully first before she gives her own, "Real long story.. but, saving you both the time. I'm- I ran away from this place cause I thought I hated it, but it's clear to me that I love it too. Everything that's happened to me since I stepped off my ship, everything I've had to go through. I just want Alderaan to be better, more than I realized back then. But, I know it now. I've felt it, seen it, lived it. Came to the festival to drown myself in pretty people and liquor, then leave, but instead I re-found my home."

"I'm here to stay. Countess Lanar," she says, giving a slight wave of her hand out in front of herself, "I'm gonna do everything I can to help push us toward the right direction. Cause Alderaan deserves it, and I'm up to it. I can do it, I can do something meaningful here."

"Purpose, to answer simply," she adds on with a slight tease to her smile.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie had been here before but she certainly wasn't opposed to running the maze once more. She supposed that she might have cheated and found a way out prior to the occasion but she was here to honour a custom and perhaps do a little bit of celebrating herself for more than one reason. For this occasion, she was dressed further 'casual' to her liking with a vest. She would stand at the entrance of the maze patiently for her partner.

[Blai Frayus]

Blai arrives at the Maze wearing his noble regalia in greens and browns with the Frayus crest on one arm; the details in Panteer colours on the other arm are now complemented by simple, but colourful bracelet, also in Panteer colours, fashioned out of a set of flowers - most likely from the Gardens.

He arrives carrying a small bag, on which one can see gray, white and brown fur-like things and some other flowers. Are those...

Jameela decides she will be escorted by Blai Frayus and Galen Sol while Joran decides he will be escorted by Riss Lanar and Jocasta Teraan; a most romantic or awkward time for them this evening.

Galen arrived carrying small paper lanterns he'd found at a festival booth. One was handed to Jameela, one to Blai and he held the third.

"I know we have better lighting, but these felt appropriate."

He meets Jameela and Galen with a clearly relieved, but also very happy smile. He nods to both... and then goes on to extend his arms to them. "Galen, I'm glad to see you again, friend!" Despite the possible awkwardness of the moment, it's quite clear the feeling is genuine. Then, with a gentle, wide smile to Jameela. "And... your Royal Highness, I can't say how happy I am to see you well. And of course, to be here with you as well!", he adds, first to her, but then nodding to Galen again.

He gladly takes the lantern handed by Galen with a smile. "They do feel appropriate! More than these, I guess!", he adds with a chuckle, and takes three Kath Hound plushies from the bag he'd brought - each wearing a flower garland - again, made with flowers from the Garden that cover places from all over the galaxy, from the Outer Rim to Alderaan itself.

"Got them at the festival as well!", he says. He nods to Galen with a grin. "I thought they'd be a good memento of the festival..." then turns to Jameela "to remember good times together, eh?"

Looking at the plushies one at a time, he then looks at Jameela and Galen again. "One for each of us! I say... Jameela gets first pick? Then Galen! How's that sound?"

[Galen Sol]

"Perfect." Galen smiled. "We need to hold on to the good memories from the festival. Like the good friends we've made."

[Cynella Andrim]

After her makeover session with Riss, Cynella sported her a red swing dress with black polka dots plus a few added flowers in her hair for extra flair. "Is it considered cheating if we race through it due to our prior navigation of it?" she asked with a small giggle.

Aurilie raised her brows when Cynella appeared in her eye-catching dress before smiling softly in appreciation. She bowed with a hand at her waist to greet her. "Good evening, Lady Rhia," she would gently take her hand to give it a quick kiss and hold it once she was done if she would allow her. "You've managed to outdo yourself with how striking you look tonight. As for our journey into the maze...oh, I'm sure they've found some way to move things around potentially to keep us on our toes. Besides, I don't think the Prince and Princess will take it too kindly if we were to run past them and their company. Of course, we might have an advantage in joining them potentially..."

"Oh! Before I forget, I hope you don't mind a little company on our walk." She said before reaching into her vest, which she had apparently done a good job of stashing away the plushie ewok they saw at the fair. "I believe this was rightfully yours, my lady."

She presented the ewok to her with a sheepish smile. It was true that Cynella told her to forget about it but a huntress didn't let her prey go so easily.

"Perfect." Galen smiled. "We need to hold on to the good memories from the festival. Like the good friends we've made."

"Got them at the festival as well!", he says. He nods to Galen with a grin. "I thought they'd be a good memento of the festival..." then turns to Jameela "to remember good times together, eh?"

Jameela accepted the white one as the trio started walking. She said, “These are so sweet, both of you. I am a bit overwhelmed at your kindness.”

“I brought something for both of you, for being so kind and sweet during this festival. I really didn’t expect to enjoy myself during all of this, it’s a bit antiquated and silly, but you both really made it very enjoyable.”

She presented each of them with necklaces with the Panteer insignia made of aurum and platinum, “I hope that you like them, I am not super great with gifts like you two.”

"It means the galaxy to me, Jameela. It feels like a tie to family. Thank you."

She took his arm and started walking and said, “So I heard a certain crazy pilot tried to crash a freighter into an Organa control center yesterday. That’s an astonishing maneuver to pull.”

"Well ah would've gone with daring rather than crazy, but sometimes y' gotta take a risk. Like askin' a stranger fer a selfie when y' first meet." Garth reminds her of the circumstance of their first meeting a little over a week ago.

"Ah hear another talented pilot flew a ship full of reinforcements right up t' the gates of the besieged palace, that takes some real guts." He takes off the medal he received and pins it to Miyi's uniform.

[Riss]

“Well I am glad you will be sticking around, Countess Lanar, and I am not sure what the future holds for Jocasta, but I hope she stays around as well, Alderaan is better because of her… because of you both. I am really just impressed with how much you have given to our nation. But I do have something for you both,” he said.

Moving from the hold on his arm, so he can get to the gifts being offered. Riss takes a note of it with a light smile, a nod, and then readies her hair, "Care to do the honor?" she suggests, that same light smile rising a bit.

“Well I am glad you will be sticking around, Countess Lanar, and I am not sure what the future holds for Jocasta, but I hope she stays around as well, Alderaan is better because of her… because of you both. I am really just impressed with how much you have given to our nation. But I do have something for you both,” he said.

He offered aurum and platinum hair brooches designed to look like blooming flowers, and has the seal of House Panteer on them. He said, “Please, I wanted you both to have one.”

Waiting for Joran to finish with Riss's brooch, Jocasta admires the workmanship in the piece for a moment before turning to present her own back. She was thankful she had allowed Cedonia to style her hair special for tonight.

"May I?", he asks as he raises the gift towards his head, as if to place it around his neck.

I would've thought that my ballgown, though sorely ruined now, or my tango dress would be more eye-catching." She sighed. "I'll need to find a tailor for it here on Alderaan or my parents will start asking questions. And not answering them is not something I want to do!"

She looked over to the maze with a big grin. "I think it'd be best to leave them to their own devices. For whatever reason, the spirit of competition just isn't in me today."

Her attention shifted back to Aurilie's strange phrasing presiding the presentation of her gift. Those goofy eyes of the plushy stared back at her and she couldn't help but boil over with giddiness. "Ah," she said, trying her best to keep herself poised. "You really didn't have to."

But try as she might, she couldn't resist booping the plush on the nose.
