[Desilijic Keyhote]

Keyhote hovered in an alcove where guests were at reduced risk of being run over. Many servers with full trays entered. Few trays emerged unscathed.

Taking the glass from the bottom, the stem between her middle and ring finger she smiles, "Riss," she chuckles, "has a nice ring to it when said like that, mm? You don't need much of an introduction though, considering everything going on here," she gives a gentle wave of the glass to indicate the room. "Hopefully more enjoyable than not?" she asks with a slight raise to the brow.

“Well frankly it’s more my mother’s thing than mine I’d rather be at the Bar Shaddaa with the boys… or girls,” he said with a smile.

“But, you know a prince has responsibilities. But some are much easier to stomach than others. Still, the name’s Joran, friends call me Jo. The pleasure is all mine, Riss,” he said taking her hand and kissing the back of it lightly.

"You mean there's a right one t' pick a fight wit'?" Garth replies with a half smile. "But ah feel ya, this ain't exactly an approach that hits mah strength's neither. Things we do fer family though, am ah right?"

"There are plenty of right ones to pick fights with. For him? I was apparently one of them," the duke replied.

"But yes, for my family... my life. Nothing brings more joy in this world than spending time with my daughters." He smiles warmly at the thought of them.

Seeing the emotion in Zeno brings a smile to Garth's face. "Ah ain't been fortunate 'nough to find th' one t' start ma own family with yet, but then ah gather that's what brings all these people here fer the festival."

"Well, a good number of them anyone. Lots of them are likely here to meddle in their kids love lives," he replies with a chuckle. "Not that I blame them. When they're old enough I'll probably be hovering over my daughters too."

[Riss]

Riss smiles as he takes her hand, focusing on him in the moment, "You and me both, but.. I'm thinking I'm glad it didn't work out that way for either of us, at least for right now," she chuckles briefly as her hand is naturally released from the kiss. Taking the brief pause from it to sip the drink he'd brought her. As the glass lowers she adds, "Jo then? Hope I'll at least fit that requirement by the time I need to use it again, mm?"

"Y' still seem young if y' don't mind me saying. Got a few years ahead 'fore that's likely an issue."

"So ye're here as a show of support fer the family then? No specific stake in the game 'f love?"

"I am still young," he says with a chuckle. "Younger than most of my peers, but we had my girls when I was a lot younger. They're already 6. Which makes it odd because I find myself talking to people older than me that haven't started a family yet wanting to give out fatherly advice. When I hit 30 I'll probably buy a can just because I'll feel that old."

"But yes, supporting the family. I've got no personal stake for myself in all of this, but I do have Miyi and Nijan to look after."

She smiled and said, "So where exactly is Ya Boi located, is that Wild Space? The Outer Rim?"

“Uhhh… well it’s like Mid Rim, it’s kind of off the normal hyperspace routes… like uh, way off, but it’s totally whizz,” he responded.

“Oh… I’ll get us drinks! Be right back.”

Since Jameela has been spending much of the evening hovering near her royal mother, Tethys is privileged to overhear this romantic exchange as she steps aside from greeting the Queen. With a cool if polite nod to Duchess Thul, she moves a few paces further to approach the Princess.

"Be careful with that one, he'll break your heart," she warns Jameela, quite deadpan, but with one corner of her lips tweaking upward a little.

Since Jameela has been spending much of the evening hovering near her royal mother, Tethys is privileged to overhear this romantic exchange as she steps aside from greeting the Queen. With a cool if polite nod to Duchess Thul, she moves a few paces further to approach the Princess.

"Really?" she said laughing lightly.

"Are Jedi even allowed to break hearts, master Jedi?" Jameela asked.

"So d' the girls take after you or is there more of their mother in 'em?" He asks before latching onto Zeno's talk about the Thul suitors.

"Ya think either of yer family candidates likely t' win a heart or a hand this week?" As Garth speaks, his eyes are drawn towards Jameela's direction.

There are way too many people. There's got to be someplace...

Galen had walked around the hall twice now, looking for an exterior balcony, lonely alcove or even an empty section of wall. He just wanted a few moments where no one was watching him or trying to speak to him. For now, he was hovering close to some of the larger decorative plants. It felt at least a little more familiar and comforting.

"Padawan Hoshin is still learning. Even Jedi are young sometimes," Tethys says, lips quirking a bit further. "That rule is harder to master than you might think, too. His Master will be around here somewhere, should he really need fishing out of deep water."

“Just don’t tell any of my other friends, they might get jealous. I mean more jealous than they already are,” he said warmly.

“So what’s your story or do we keep the mystery? You choose.”

Free hand brought up to her chin she extends her index finger across her lips, "Won't tell a soul," she smiles, a brief two-note laugh. Crossing her arm over her chest to give a little more support to the hand holding the glass. Stepping once more closer, keeping the distance conversational but also far less likely anyone would interrupt in needing to pass through.

"Let's keep the mystery. Think it's more fun that way," she says with a smirk. "Can be a bit of a game of it if you're interested? We keep talking and you take a guess when you think you've got something figured out about me. Sound fun to you?"

"They take after both pretty well. It's impossible to miss the red skin, but their features are definitely more like Ziandra's," he says with a nod, pulling out a datapad and bringing up a picture for him to see if he wants. Yeah, he's one of those proud papas that shows off pictures of his kids.

"I'd like to think that they will, but my wife is the expert on that. I had never even heard of her or house Thul before I had willingly agreed to marry her, and I haven't regretted a single day. So if someone knows how to make matches it's her not me. My romantic history was far more turbulent when left to my own devices," Zeno admits.

"His humor could use a little maturing or work, but well... it made me laugh so what does that say about me?"

Garth is quite content to indulge Zeno's fatherly pride and flips through the images of a happy family.

"They seem very happy an' well loved, ah'm sure ye're proud of 'em and as y' say ye're still young yet. You an' hte missus plannin' on givin' em some more siblings?"

"I'd like to think that they will, but my wife is the expert on that. I had never even heard of her or house Thul before I had willingly agreed to marry her, and I haven't regretted a single day. So if someone knows how to make matches it's her not me. My romantic history was far more turbulent when left to my own devices," Zeno admits.

"Ah think Lady Yula's got some strong 'pinions bout that, least bout Prince Joran's hands." He adds.

“I like this game and what do I win if I guess correctly? I am hoping for something better than a gold star?” he said with a smile.

"Better than a gold star," she laughs, there's a light warmth to the tone. Naturally glancing away as she laughs she reasserts her gaze on him with a present smile. Glancing elsewhere, upward as she focuses in on a thought. Absently she swirls the glass a little with careful wrist movements. "I'm not sure exactly what though. What do you think you'd deserve after all that effort?" she asks, focusing back on him with a raise of her brow.
