[Day 1 - EE] Suitor's Mixer RP Thread

[Joran Panteer]

"Better than a gold star," she laughs, there's a light warmth to the tone. Naturally glancing away as she laughs she reasserts her gaze on him with a present smile. Glancing elsewhere, upward as she focuses in on a thought. Absently she swirls the glass a little with careful wrist movements. "I'm not sure exactly what though. What do you think you'd deserve after all that effort?" she asks, focusing back on him with a raise of her brow.

"A Princely reward I am sure," he said with a warm smile.

"My mother needs me, but it's been a pleasure mysterious Riss. Please enjoy the evening, Golden Star."

He departed towards his mother.

OOC: Joran liked that.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi was also present and mingling after making her first contact with the target. She'd pass glances in his direction every now and again.

This is weird... I'm... marking the dude... but like... What have I gotten myself into?

She found some place to collect a drink and enjoy the festivities for the moment.

Garth is quite content to indulge Zeno's fatherly pride and flips through the images of a happy family.

"They seem very happy an' well loved, ah'm sure ye're proud of 'em and as y' say ye're still young yet. You an' hte missus plannin' on givin' em some more siblings?"

"Ah think Lady Yula's got some strong 'pinions bout that, least bout Prince Joran's hands." He adds.

"The girls are at an age now where we could afford the time for more kids, but there's a lot that goes into that decision," he says with a shrug. "For me it's always a yes in my heart, but that's not the only consideration."

"And Yulastranza's opinions are always well advertised," he says. "She may dislike Thul deeply, but I have a great deal of respect for Ulgo's strengths. We're really looking at each other through completely different lenses I think."

[Riss]

"A Princely reward I am sure," he said with a warm smile.

"I'll be sure to," she gives a brief nod. "A pleasure, Jo," she says with a warmth in her smile as she stands with the glass. Glass raised as it was, a small tilt of her head was all it took to lean her cheek against the rim of the glass as she watched him go. A small pleasant sight escaping her as he eventually disappeared to the rest of his evening. Lingering for five seconds, maybe more, before she rises from the lean onto her glass and takes another sip from it.

Eyes cast about the room but her thoughts lingered still, and so she wandered from the spot without much intention to her direction.

Another young woman stepped up and poured herself a drink, glancing over to Delmi and offering a small, slightly awkward smile at odds with the elaborate regalia she was dressed in. As if for extra contrast, she added, "Oh... hi. How's it hanging?"

She smiled warmly in return, "Hi there. Goin' pretty good so far. How about you?"

She looked the woman up and down in an instant, "You look lovely. I'm guessing you're from around here?"

[Ashlin Organa]

She smiled warmly in return, "Hi there. Goin' pretty good so far. How about you?"

"Oh... thank you." She smiled a little. "You do, too. A Seal of Service... that's really something else. I'm Ashlin Organa, by the way. Republic Navy Engineer Corps."

[Delmi Koor]

She smiled and nodded politely, "They give these out to all sorts of folks... even oddballs like me."

She extended a hand to shake, "Name's Delmi Koor. I'm a member of Havoc Squad in the Army. Organa, huh? I got an ol' war buddy in your House. I think he's more my buddy than I am his though."

She smiled again, "So you stationed here now? Or coming back for the fun?"

"The military is full of oddballs. They wouldn't be able to give them out at all if they didn't," she replied with a small grin, starting to relax a little. She shook her hand. "Yup. Who was it? I might know him. I mean, we don't all know each other, but it never hurts to ask."

"My family needed me for this, basically. They probably would've grabbed my sister normally, but she's already tied up."

“His name’s Niall. The one they all call Captain Alderaan. Met him out on Bankor… solid dude. Good heart.” She replied before taking a sip.

“Oh yeah? Seems… important. This stuff is all pretty serious business out here, huh?”

Joran hated meeting dignitaries, but it was his responsibility. With that done he wandered around enjoying the mixer.

Delmi gestured at Joran subtly and asked Ashlin, “So you here for him?”

“His name’s Niall. The one they all call Captain Alderaan. Met him out on Bankor… solid dude. Good heart.” She replied before taking a sip.

“Oh yeah? Seems… important. This stuff is all pretty serious business out here, huh?”

"Oh, I do know Niall! He's my first cousin, though my sister is closer to him than I am," she explained with nod. "Yeah, it's pretty serious. We're just trying to hold everything together under the circumstances."

She glanced over to Joran when Delmi spoke up. "Not in any serious, 'my family is on my- er, on me to try for him' way, but... I don't know, I'm willing to see if there's any interest. He was clearly kinda buried in movers and shakers, though."

He lifted his drink and smiled warmly to the nod, and then paused to look at a massive ball, perhaps 20 meters across suspended in the air, of water with many exotic water creatures inside swimming about.

She glanced over to Joran when Delmi spoke up. "Not in any serious, 'my family is on my- er, on me to try for him' way, but... I don't know, I'm willing to see if there's any interest. He was clearly kinda buried in movers and shakers, though."

She smiled warmly, “Looks like there’s an openin’ now. Why don’t you go chat with him?”

[Brannis Ulgo]

Brannis Ulgo, dressed not much differently than he was every day in the House of Lords, stood to the side with something resembling a champagne flute in his hand and observed the evening's proceedings. He nodded respectfully to those who needed it, and smiled as often as he could at people he genuinely liked -- there just weren't enough of those folks circulating tonight.

Beside him, basically still working although she'd been told not to, was his loyal chief of staff Kaleena. She seemed essentially glued to her datapad, but she'd definitely ratcheted up her attire for this formal event. The deep violet blouse under her medium gray suit looked remarkable -- probably making her seem more approachable than her boss, despite the major differences in their posture towards the room.

"I didn't do great earlier..." She admitted, but then took a deep breath through her nose and exhaling. "But I guess I won't know unless I actually put myself out there, huh?"

She added. "Let's hang out again later, though, okay?"

“For sure. Good luck.” Delmi said with a smile and nod as the Organa walked away.

She swished the drink around in her hand before bringing it up to her lips.

She picked up a drink and nodded at Delmi before heading over to Joran and glancing up at the ball. "It's an interesting setup up there."

Joran replied, "Yeah, my mother had it done... I am not sure how they pulled it off, probably repulsor fields or something."

"And Yulastranza's opinions are always well advertised," he says. "She may dislike Thul deeply, but I have a great deal of respect for Ulgo's strengths. We're really looking at each other through completely different lenses I think."

Garth grabs another drink from a passing waiter and listens carefully to Zeno. "Well then, how d'you think we should be lookin'? We're all temporary rivals in this here 'rena, but I 'magine how this all shakes out'll color our perspectives even more."
