[Day 1 - EN] Monday Night Huttball

"Well based on the scoreboard I'd guess monkey lizards in account of them having more points."

The points ticker had just cycled and answered her question right before the man spoke. Breela raised an eyebrow and smirked at the good natured rib, "Here to drink and be humbled!" She said over the noise that erupted when the monkey lizards lost possession. "But I wouldn't count the Frog Dogs out yet. They're comeback game is what keeps the crowds on their feet." She grins at the play. "Breela by the way."

Omandri wasn't much of a Huttball guy, he'd never really gotten into it but he was quick enough to understand the basics and figure out what was going on "Pleasure to meet you Breela by the Way, you can call me Omandri." He said with an easy smile revealing white teeth that popped a little by contrast with his darker skin.

He gave the woman a once over "you don't seem like you're from around here. What brings you to this lovely planet?"

"Astute observation." She takes a gulp of ale, "and the answer is new beginnings. Whoo!" The tender just slid over what looked like a Sarlacc Kicker. "You are the man!" She slid him a nice tip with a wink. "So fair's fair - is this home for you Omandri or are you a fellow settler?"

At the touch, Cynella glanced over. Message received, she thought before looking back over to Joran with a warm smile. "Is there going to be a Huttball competition in the itinerary then?"

“Yes, little Lady Kuat, there will be. Jo and I are on the same team, the winning team,” Yulastranza offered.

Joran chuckled and listened to her talk as she continued, “You can join us, as long as you learn how to act right in public. Your finishing school truly failed you, but I won’t hold that against you. The Queen might, though.”

"Ease off the doom and gloom a little, mm? Everyone has an off day," Riss interjects, leaning in on the bar a little more so that she could look to Yulostranza more directly, which of course likely made it seem like her head was poking out from behind Cynella herself. "Girls got it in her to be plenty fine when it comes to acting right in public," she says, "seen it myself. Nerves get the better of the best of us sometimes, mmm?" she gives a nod toward Cynella, "Case and point."

“I am not holding it against her but if she breaks under the pressure… and that was a mild encounter with upper society then how will she handle a real crisis,” to emphasize her point she crushed the now empty beer bottle with her hand, reducing the bulk of it to powder.

“One’s nerves have to be of steel at all times to be Queen of Alderaan.”

She added, “Weakness… off days… sometimes you don’t get a second chance to recover from that. Sometimes you have to live with the consequences.”

Riss' brows raise at the crushing of the glass, a thought going through her mind which needed a little stifling as she refocused herself a bit. Straightening herself in her seat she takes a sip from the beer only to find there's half the sip she would've wanted, and sets the empty bottle aside.

"Sometimes folk flounder a bit when the stakes are lower cause it matters less," she gives a brief smile, a nod of the head toward Cynella. "Rest of us can be the bigger people and cut a little slack at times like that. Ask me? A queen of Alderaan could stand to learn the difference in moments like that. Moments where you don't just crush things to show you've got power," she gives a nod toward the bottle.

Delmi sat and ate her space popcorn at the melee taking place on and off the court.

She smirked ever so slightly between two bites.

Breela looked down the bar after hearing the noise. "Really... wow." She mouthed under her breath.

She polishes off one of the ales and starts on another.

And... they engaged her. Now she won't be satisfied until she thinks she's won in Joran's eyes. Zeno thinks to himself. After I put in the work so anyone else could try to hold his attention, they gave her theirs.

He looked to Cynella and Riss, then to Joran, to try and suggest where their attentions would be better directed. But otherwise just watched the game. If they took the hint and disengaged Yulastranza, he'd try to get her attention once more. Otherwise he'd let them fight their own battle.

"As for me I was born here but this is my first time back in about six years or so. Place hasn't really changed all that much. Well the possible Civil War is new." He said as he glanced over to the bear of a woman destroying her bottle.

He chuckled a little "Not too hard to figure out, there aren't too many.....Farghul, right? Not too many on Alderaan." He took a more restrained sip of his own drink before responding to her question.

She swallowed and gave him an impressed nod, "Well done. Not many people guess right. As for the civil war..." She frowns, "I probably wouldn't have come here if I knew I was walking into an open ridonium mine." Her tail twitches absently. "If you've never seen a swindled Farghul then take a good look." She gestures then takes another swig of ale.

The twitching tail catches his eye for a moment but he focuses back on her quickly enough "Ive got an eye for different species, have to be able to tell what someone is at a glance when you're a medic."

Taking another drink he gives her a quick visual inspection up and down "So what does bring you to this planet then?"

"Ehh, pretty much what I said. Just here to start anew. I've been a warrior my whole life, fought both Jedi and Sith. Now I just want to live in peace." She smiles warmly. "A medic huh? I suppose you and I are natural enemies then." She laughs easily. "If I could truly start again... I might choose to heal rather than harm." She raises the ale, "To you doc!" Then takes another swig.

Omandri nodded "Well sure start anew but doing what for who? People rarely just come to Alderaan randomly to settle down." He replied.

He drank with her "Well natural enemies or a balance I'm out of work if people stop getting hurt, and warriors are out of work if they run out of enemies to fight. It's a never ending cycle."

"And a vicious one at that." She wiped the foam from her mouth, then regarded him for a few moments. "I'm opening up a self-defense school at Castle Organa. I just... I want to help civilians learn how to defend themselves, give the youth an outlet for their pent up anger. If this one is successful..." she sighs, "and if we can avoid a civil war. I'm hoping I can start similar schools all over the planet."

"Ah so a budding entrepreneur. Organa's are good people." He raised his drink in a toast "to your future success then." And then took a long drink.

"So minus the political tension and possible war on the horizon. What are your first impressions of Alderaan?"

"Ah so a budding entrepreneur."

She laughs and shakes her head, "Yeah we'll see about that, I suspect most of my business will be pro bono." She eyes her ale but doesn't drink it. "Civil discord aside I've never seen mountains more beautiful, nor hearts more pure. But... ask me again in a month."

It was his turn to laugh a little "Yeah if im still around then I'll be sure to. Sounds like you've got the normal first impression. But there's still violence and blood here. It's just all hidden by shadows and smiles." He said with a sort of resignation but he smiled after not letting the dark thought cloud his mood

"It is a beautiful planet though. I could take you to some of my favorite views sometime if you'd like?" He offered with a raised eyebrow.
