[Day 1 - EN] Monday Night Huttball

[Breela Po]

But there's still violence and blood here. It's just all hidden by shadows and smiles.

"So I've noticed." She thinks back to the events earlier.

"It is a beautiful planet though. I could take you to some of my favorite views sometime if you'd like?" He offered with a raised eyebrow.

So deep in thought it took a minute to register what he had just offered. She blinks, "What.." she becomes surprisingly flushed. "I'd... I think I'd like that." She recovers with a grin. "You're a smooth operator doctor!" She pushes him playfully. "I'm free tomorrow afternoon."

[Omandri Rist]

He grinned at her a little "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just an estranged local being nice to a newcomer." He said with a slight chuckle as he took a drink.

Setting his glass down "tomorrow afternoon it is. You don't have a fear of heights do you?"

[Breela Po]

You don't have a fear of heights do you?

She snickered, "Nope."

[Arsele Girard]

"Ever since ah could reach the pedals. Swoop racer back home 't Onderon, stunt driver on th' Kessel Run holo show, now flyin' Spitfires fer the Republic Navy."

Garth answers without any bravado in his tone. His CV speaks for itself, in his mind at least.

"What 've yerself? Ah think ah saw ya at the meet n greet earlier?"

"I was there, yes. I'm currently between jobs though. Transitioning from one part of life to another while helping out the family."

The tone shows even less enthusiasm for her current situation than her eyes did for the local Huttball match.

She snickered, "Nope."

He smiled "good, it'd be a bit more complicated if you did."

"So are you a big Huttball fan?" He asked circling the conversation away from the future and back to the present

Resting her head on her arm she blew an errant hair out of her eyes, "Nah not really. But I am a fan of bars, drinking, and sports. I mean look around," she gestures at the spectators. Some more into the match than others, but all were at least partially focused on the game. "Until the match ends there's no Jedi, no Sith, no civil war. Just the game. A war without slaughter, only battles." She looks away sadly for a moment and polishes off her ale.

[Azura Mora]

Huttball. A weird game where people got together to either beat the living kriff out of each other or lose trying. In theory it was the kind of game Azura should really enjoy, except it just felt pointless to her. Maybe if she actually tried it she'd feel different?

With a shrug, she had sat herself down and watched all the action.

Delmi sat and ate her space popcorn at the melee taking place on and off the court.

She smirked ever so slightly between two bites.

"I miss anythin' that matters?" she asked the person next to her.

[Delmi Koor]

"Not a bad game. People fightin' over the prince's attention has been just as interesting though." She said with a smirk.

"Name's Delmi Koor... we met before?" She said as she gave the look on her face one does when it seems they are trying to remember a face.

[Azura Mora]

"Really now?" Azura peered in that direction for a moment before turning back to the woman "maybe it'll match huttball in it's fierceness."

She paused to think for a few moments, before saying "...your name sounds familiar, an' I keep running into people that served at Bankor enough to start thinkin' it a kriffin' war reuinion party. Don't suppose you were there too?" she laughed "my names Azura. Azura Mora."

[Delmi Koor]

"I was. Wasn't part of the military just yet at that point." She replied and then tilted her head as she thought.

"Azura... oh... Weren't you... Aren't you... Jax's girl?" She asked then quickly amended.

"Well... he was or is your boy is probably the better way of sayin' that."

[Azura Mora]

"Oi. We're together yeah kinda but I ain't...actually nevermind" Azura waved it off "yeah we were there. Now we're here. Well, I'm here. He's off on a delivery, an' left me to deal with the festival on my own. Running a business an' stuff. You're military now then? Planets seen plenty o'war, thought it was done though."

[Delmi Koor]

"Galaxy's a big place... Always someone fighting somewhere." She said with a snort through her nostrils.

"Yeah, I'm on the Havoc Squad of the Republic Army now. Been so since Bankor... Was lookin' forward to a bit of a break... but..."

She stopped herself.

Omandri nodded he recognized that sadness, seen before. Seen it in himself at times. It was a look some veterans got thinking about their service. It also explained all the drinks.

"Well yeah that makes sense, it's originally what sports were meant to do. Be a...well less violent means to replace war. You have localized teams, uniforms, tactics and commanders. It satisfies the sentient desire for competition and dominance without too much bloodshed. Most cultures have games like huttball and others that fill this role." He took a drink and put his glass down with a slightly embarrassed smile. It seemed while he may have been a little smooth he was also a bit of a nerd "but excuse me I'm rambling on about sociology and anthropology. I'm sure I'm boring you to death."

[Cynella Andrim]

"Well at least you have backbone, she must be glad you're here to fight all her battles," Yulastranza replied.

The bottle crush had been a little impressive. In the interim, Cynella had practiced her grip. She'd always likened herself as better at maintaining it than crushing, though. Maybe weightlifting thoughts weren't the best use of her time at the moment?

"That really wasn't the best display of mine," she said in regards to her court debut. "I suppose it comes with the territory of coming into new territory. There's a saying that it's harder to play in the away team, is there not?"

A sports analogy. Well, if it works, it works.

"I'm grateful that dear Riss is willing to speak on my behalf. It's a testament to our friendship and I'd rather have her by my side than stand alone." She shrugged. "A Queen would be nothing without her people after all."

[Yulastranza Ulgo]

Yulastranza listened and then bought them all drinks, "Then we shall see who the best woman is."

"I like this one, you can have her if you like, but Joran is mine in the end." She went back to watching the game.

[Riss]

"I think he'll decide that in the end," she says, looking to Yulostranza as the fresh drink is given and taken into hand. A raise of it toward her in thanks. Breaking from the gesture to look to Cynella and offer a brief smile to offer those unspoken thoughts, before taking a nice long drink from the glass.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella, at the sight of the drink, pulled out her datapad for a quick 'caloric consumption addition.' By the stars, she prayed that the bartender didn't use a lot of sugar in there.

"It truly is the esteemed prince's decision, isn't it? I don't envy your position, though it certainly has its perks." She turned over to Riss and smiled back. "I don't think it'd be so bad in the long run, though I have my mind set on the Alderaanian nobility."

[Joran Panteer]

"Yeah... it's something," he said finishing his beer.

"I was there, yes. I'm currently between jobs though. Transitioning from one part of life to another while helping out the family."

"Amateur Huttball commentator not payin' th bills?" He asks jokingly as he takes a long sip of his beer. "Ah'm only new round these parts, but ah got a little connection with th' Ulgo's, if y' think that might help yer employment situation?"

[Riss]

In the moment following Riss' glass is lowered from her lips and settled on the counter. Quietly looking to Joran and trying her best to get a read on him while a thought formed in her head, and a small pit in her stomach. It was enough to stay her hand for another drink at first.
