[Day 1 - EE] Suitor's Mixer RP Thread

[Jameela Panteer]

"I think these young wolves might have to worry about silver thraxxian foxes," she said warmly.

"It is a pleasure to meet again Count Serreno."

She smiled kindly at the Jedi as she departed.

[Galen Sol]

She then steps politely aside to let Jocasta introduce herself and snap a holo for her sister. Tethys isn't in the race for suitordom, after all.

"This is a very strange dance." Galen appoached the Jedi. "It must be exhausting for them."

[Count Serenno]

"A pleasure indeed, Princess." The Count bowed with decorum, having quickly recovered from a bit of surprise of being approached by both women and left with the one on his mind. "Do you even need a guardian though? I have an impression your wit can easily dispatch the presumptuous." He chuckled. "But if I've been annointed a thraxxian fox, I shall do my best to act as one."

[Jameela Panteer]

"A pleasure indeed, Princess." The Count bowed with decorum, having quickly recovered from a bit of surprise of being approached by both women and left with the one on his mind. "Do you even need a guardian though? I have an impression your wit can easily dispatch the presumptuous." He chuckled. "But if I've been annointed a thraxxian fox, I shall do my best to act as one."

"I do not have my mother's wit or poise, but thank you for the kind words," she offered.

"I apologize for intruding."

[Alysele Organa]

"Uh, yeah kinda" Azura was surprised at the approaching fancy woman, accepting the offered drink "I run an imports an' exports business. I've done a lot of travellin' though when I was much younger, so I guess travellin' around is my life. Names Azura, Azura Mora."

"Nice to meet you. Alysele Organa." She eyed the woman up and down. "Here for the festival Ms. Mora?" She asked casually, her tone pleasant. "Where abouts did you travel?"

[Niall Organa]

Having done his part, and regained the use of his limbs, Niall moved to the mixer proper.

Once there, he immediately got a drink, tossing it back with a grimace.

[Count Serenno]

"Would that we suffered from only such pleasant intrusions as the one now." He said with a touch of amusement. "Your brother's virtues might have won him much recognition already, but some types of actions are just more popular than others. The pursuits of the mind bring less glory and public confidence, but they are their own reward. May I ask what you have been focusing your attention on lately, Princess?"

[Tethys Carrack]

She smiled kindly at the Jedi as she departed.

Edging away out of the field of Jocasta's holocam and making space for the Princess to talk with that older gentleman brings Tethys briefly close to--then past--the orderly cluster of Panteer and Thul house guards hovering near the throne. On an impulse, she opens her senses in the Force toward one of the latter for a moment.

"This is a very strange dance." Galen appoached the Jedi. "It must be exhausting for them."

She turns, and, seeing the familiar-ish speaker, shrugs one shoulder. "The performance is about the dancer as much as the dance. It's strange to you, but it's familiar and easy to some of these people." One corner of her lips twitches as she admits, "I fall about the middle of the scale, personally. Good evening, Mr. Sol. This is an unusual habitat for you."

[Riss]

He simply chuckled at the shove a bit of returned warmth in the sound and the smile he gave her.

He grinned mischievously at her as she spoke "hmmmm Riss Panteer Pirate captain," He clears his throat "excuse me Republic Privateer Captain who steals the heart of the dashing prince and turns Alderaan upside down." He smiled "It sounds like a cheesy romance novel, but if anyone can make it a reality it's you Riss." His tone is light and playful but there's a core of Sincerity to it.

"Kriff off," she chuckles, there's a roughness to the way she laughs as she shakes her head, warmth in her tone. "You are getting yourself wayy too carried away with this," she tilts her head a little with the smile. Glancing down to her drink for a moment she reads the rim of the glass as if there was something there to it, but there wasn't, it was only an excuse to carry herself away with her thoughts.

Coming back from them a warmth to her sign, "But what about you? Coming here with something of a plan? Jameela? Jordan?" she winks, a brief chuckle. "Or just.. more serious attentions on the goings on?"

They are for the most part alert and tense and concerned but there is one that seems resistant to her probings.

She seems unlike the others and the Force is strong with her.

"I was offworld till recently studying xeno-archaeology mostly," she replied warmly.

"I don't mean this poorly, but you seem rather old to be seeking a wife... maybe a third wife?"

[Galen Sol]

She turns, and, seeing the familiar-ish speaker, shrugs one shoulder. "The performance is about the dancer as much as the dance. "Very unusual." he agreed. "But, I am trying to learn. Yulu Kess shared stories about places like this. He encouraged me to broaden my experience."

Tethys casts one last sidelong glance at the helmeted Blackguards officer before refocusing on Galen.

"Yulu Kess? I'm afraid I can't place that name." Though it tickles in her brain as though she's heard it before, somewhere.

[Omandri Rist]

"Kriff off," she chuckles, there's a roughness to the way she laughs as she shakes her head, warmth in her tone. He watched her a moment while she inspected her glass he sort of inspected her but not for long enough to become uncomfortable "Well I'd think you'd know better than most how carried away I can get." He said teasingly.

"My sister called me back home, I'm obsentibly involved as a suitor but I doubt I really have much if a chance there." He chuckled "I've got a couple other irons in the fire too though. There are a lot of moving pieces here on Alderaan these days. I'll save talking about those until we're in a more private venue."

[Galen Sol]

"He was a Jedi Knight who's spirit I came into contact with." he explained. "He is one with the Force now, but the Order gave me a holocron of his lessons. One was about wooing a Dantooine princess."

[Layne Hoshin]

The Zeno she knew was was certainly not gone, not redeemed, as she could likely sense his dark power which had grown much stronger since they last met. But even with that he had changed. Intensity had become focus, aggression kept in check, his eyes were less predatory and more discerning.

He smiled... pleasantly. "It's been some time Layne," he said, extending a hand for her. "You're looking much better since I last saw you. Believe it or not, I'm glad you made it out alive."

"I do find that hard to believe," she said, calm expression still in place as she extended her hand. "But maybe life in the republic has changed you as it has me."

But if that were the case; why not join the Jedi, instead of marrying into a noble house for political power? She wasn't convinced either way on him as of now. And it wasn't hard to imagine that her being here, looking him in the eye, was a not so subtle warning that while they weren't enemies, she *is* watching him.

"Or marriage, I suppose."

"This is where a life of pursuing xenoarcheology leads if one is not too careful." He chuckled, apparently not offended. "When my brother was Count, I was leading an itinerant life that was leaving little room for family life. And thus, not once before have I married."

He paused. "What historical time-period is of particular interest to you, Princess?"

[Jameela Panteer]

She laughed at that lightly and then said, “I… you’re putting me on the spot here, I spent some time on Taris studying relics from the Revan era. But really I am always open to new discoveries. I guess I can’t answer that right now, what about you?”

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

"What really changed me the most was fatherhood," he said with a chuckle at Layne. Not exactly something the Jedi Order was keen on for the most part. It happened, but it was not the standard.

"This is Garth Wayne Ulgo," he introduces her to his other conversation partner. "Republican naval pilot, and man of action."

Then turns to Garth. "And this is Layne Hoshin. Former Sith turned Jedi, and woman of action," he said, assuming as much since she still carried a lightsaber and she shared a last name with someone's padawan. Definitely couldn't be a coincidence.
