She cleared her throat and indicated Brannis. "Riss, this is my cousin Brannis Ulgo, a member of Parliment. Bran, this is Captain Riss, someone who doesn't understand personal space."

"Don't look at me like that," she gives a very gentle shove as she leans back. "Acting like you've never been greeted like that at a party before.. though, yikes. Maybe you really have never gone to parties that.. aren't this," she grimaces, chuckles, and shakes her head. Looking over her shoulder and following with it to Brannis, extending a hand toward him, "Pleasure."

Brannis is hardly one to be at a loss for words, although Kat's... friend? is such a contrast to her that he's unsure what would even be helpful here.

"Of... course..." he says very slowly, skepticism evident. But he takes the offered hand and musters a polite smile. "A pleasure, Captain Riss. Captain of, ah, what outfit?" he inquires, guessing military man Bran will have more in common with Riss than Lord Bran.

Kellen turned to the voice, a genuine smile on his lips. "Cousin! Oh how delightful to see you Omandri." He extended a hand and assuming it was taken leaned in to clap him on the back affectionately.

"The years have treated you well. Good grief, when were we last at a party like this together?"

He chuckled a little and clapped his cousin on the back as they lightly embraced. Omandri had always liked Kellen another intellectual in a family full of assassins and politicos

Garth looks around the room, seeking a conversation partner, when he spots an opportunity he can't pass up. Grabbing two tall glasses of something bubbly, he walks over with a confident stride.

"Baroness Thul, yes?" He enquires as he extends a hand, offering her a drink.

Miyi had just disengaged herself from a conversation with a fellow noblewoman and turned to Garth and said, “Yep that is me, and you must be… Garth Ulgo, right?”

She held up her communicator and smirked saying, “All the distinguished guests are listed on the program.”

“Oh Maker, did you see Captain Alderaan! And there is...Jedi Tethys, oh man so many famous people here. I just want a selfie with all them… wait, you too! You’re a Bankor hero right?” She said before looking at her communicator and tapping and then squealing with delight.

“Oh Maker, please… please! My friends will be ballistic!”

"Hah! If by that you mean carefully reconstructing the past and correcting the mistakes of others? Yes indeed." He winked. "They have even made me a full Professor, so I suppose all that treasure was good for something."

He raised his glass. "To House Rist, and old friends."

He nods at that. "Are you pleased with how the first day has gone? Other than the protests I haven't noticed anything outside of the festival schedule."

Noticing Garth approach Miyi, he directed Ziandra's attention to him. "I'm sure he's been encouraged to consider Miyi as an alternative to the Princess."

“We are elated to know that you enjoy the festivities. The pleasure is ours to entertain and fulfill the needs of the people. If we may, we have a question for you, if you permit us an indulgence,” she asked, turning her attention to Gil.

“Do you feel that the nobility are doing all they can for the people? If not why and if so, we would appreciate in what ways they fulfill their mandate to serve Alderaan and the people.”

"Of course your majesty." Which loyal subject would deny their queen after all. Though the question she delivered was something of a loaded one and not exactly easy to answer. "I would say in my opinion yes, though that would be in my perspective of a Servant of House Rist, and I could not speak with such certainy about all houses. As I don't have the proper experience in such matters to do so."

"The House treats my family well, sees that our needs are met and we respond with our loyalty. They give me some feeling of certainty and purpose in these uncertain times. It helps alleviate any worries I may have about the present or the future. Which lets me concentrate on my duties and more fully enjoy times like this." He gestured to the party in the main of the hall. "It's all I could really ask for."

She listened intently, focusing on each word and then smiled at the end, easy and casual. She was pleased with the response and said, “Thank you, we are pleased to know that House Rist treats their people with dignity and respect.”

“We thank you, Gil Corren, we hope your evening is well. Please accept this minor token of our esteem for your honest words.”

She then offered Gil a cheek to cheek kiss on each side and then departed.

A servant followed sharply and offered him a Gold Rose, “Her grace, wishes for you to have this.”

He then departed quickly following the Queen and Queen’s Guard.

Once positioned she took a few selfies throwing up the Nar Shaddaa peace sign and then once satisfied with the picture put it on her social media. While tapping away she responded, “yeah that would be cool, I feel like I would be bothering her, I know Jedi are always busy saving the galaxy.”

“You’re not here to woo Princess Jameela? I mean she has so many here for her, even a guy like two hundred years old, but hey he carries himself well. Got that whole, sexy granddad thing going on… if you are into that. Not me, but I feel it. No judgments you know, this is a time for love, find it where you can,” Miyi offered.

“So, like, why don’t you think flyboys get no love? Literally flyboys are the coolest and where I am from the people love a good flyboy.”

Consciously taking his time to try and bait Miyi's curiosity he sipped at his drink as he pondered before responding.

"Well ya look good on paper, ah'd have t' see ya skills up close ta be sure though."

"Well if we get invaded and need space-air superiority then maybe, but I think it might have to wait otherwise. I sadly left the keys to my space fighter in my other designer dress," she responded.

"No?" Tethys asks with a raised brow. "I imagine that depends on who your target is. And what you plan to do when you catch them." Her gaze settles on the tall armored Thul guard officer, detached from her liege lady now that the Queen and Ziandra Thul have parted ways to mingle with the crowd. "Mine may be in the right place now. I'll have to ask your pardon, Mr. Sol... unless you'd care to join me?"

"I wouldn't want to leave my dance partner so soon." he smiled. "Please, lead on."

"Improvise as you will, then." With a half-smile to Galen, Tethys does lead on, weaving nonchalantly through the partygoers for the few paces necessary to reach her nearby target.

"I admit, I am surprised to see the most dramatic fashion statement of the evening worn by someone who seems to be on duty," she says lightly, extending an open hand toward the armored woman for the handshake greeting common to Alderaan and many other Human cultures. "My compliments. I'm Tethys Carrack."

“Oh and there watching the queen is Ser Villainess,” she gestured to a woman standing near the Queen.
