[Day 2 - LA] Skeet Skeet Shooting

A small part of Veeone's programming was attempting to break through to the main cognitive unit that it was interfering in an obvious organic mating ritual. Luckily Veeone rarely gave the 'Stop its player having fun' processing unit enough power to do anything worthwhile.

[Galen Sol]

Galen wasn't a fan of mixing rifles with alcohol, but was interested in seeing where this went.

[Joran Panteer]

Joran shrugged and said warmly, "Alright, Riss, let's play."

Unther did not seem pleased at the rules change or the alcohol.

[Riss]

At the assent, she smiles brightly and glances around at her audience, being the center of attention was one of those things she certainly didn't mind in the slightest. Turning she finds her way over toward the fresh bottles and grabs one. Coming back to the center she looks around at everyone, and then turns to focus on Joran, "I've had royal parents put heavy expectations on me, to map out significant portions of my life, because they were more concerned with what was best for other people than for what I wanted out of my life," she says, and then walks forward to Joran.

"So.. did I get it?" she says, offering up the glass and then glancing to the gun. "Shot or shot?"

[Aurilie Alde]

Perhaps it was surprising to some that Kat did not take a shot in response to Riss' claim that she had fallen in love with the wrong person.

But Aurilie on the other hand made her take a shot, and then a liquid shot.

"However did you manage to fall into the fountain?"

OOC: I'm just going to assume Kat misses and has to drink.

Aurilie would turn to regard Kat with a nod. "Admittedly, it was when younger, much younger. A time where my siblings and our playmates had the energy and attention span of monkey-rats. We were playing Corellian Gladiator Arena or something on the fountain edge. The loser was never actually supposed to fall into the fountain. We already learned our lesson after it happened the first time. That didn't stop us from thinking it was still a good idea to play on the fountain. I got shoved and slipped in my footing, legitimately falling into the fountain. We were barred from going to the fountain ever since. Well, until now, obviously."

She would tilt her head at Riss and take a cautious glance around, wondering why she was showing so much of her hand here. Or was this the plan? With that, she went for the diceless option and merely took a shot of what was around. It was later afternoon, anyway.

[Dapper Dog]

Joran looks at her with confusion while Gaul starts laughing to the point of almost crying. After a long moment of laughter he finally controlled himself and said, "Yeah just your average everyday, question."

"I forget do we drink or die... or shoot?"

"Do I drink if that's true?" Gaul asked.

[Riss]

Glancing over to Gaul she chuckles, shaking her head, "If it's true for you too, you can shoot or drink. If you miss your shot, you drink anyway," a played up shrug, "Dying isn't part of the game, so feel free to do that whenever you like," she says with another half-chuckle. Looking back to Joran she raises a brow, "Everything alright there?" a subtle tilt of her head toward her right side with the question.

Glancing over to Gaul she chuckles, shaking her head, "If it's true for you too, you can shoot or drink. If you miss your shot, you drink anyway," a played up shrug, "Dying isn't part of the game, so feel free to do that whenever you like," she says with another half-chuckle. Looking back to Joran she raises a brow, "Everything alright there?" a subtle tilt of her head toward her right side with the question.

Joran is quiet for a moment and then said, “No, I am not sure what the question means but mom, despite Gaul’s… no mom raised us to be strong for Alderaan and father always said that we have a greater duty to the people than we can imagine. Some see that as pressure.”

He lowered his weapon, “I see that as a privilege to be born a Panteer.” He handed the rifle to Riss and said, “I appreciate everyone enjoying the afternoon with us but I have some duties to attend to.”

Unther said, “As you say brother, Gaul?” Gaul waved him off to stay as both Joran and Unther depart.

OOC: Joran did not like that.

[Riss]

Riss stood there, replaying it over in her mind, she was so sure she'd seen that in him and she was wrong. Wasn't the first time, wouldn't be the last, with a big inhale after Joran left she blows out the breath slow, "Sorry about that," she says to no one in particular.

With the fresh drink already to hand she busies herself with making some good progress on it, and progress on it she makes.

Delmi's eyebrows went up at the understandable exchange.

He's got some pride... That's good. Looks like it's not all about flattery and flirting.

"Oh I just stayed to finish my drink, do not consider that approval or disapproval of that horrendous offense," he said smiling.

Kat laughed warmly and nodded. "Sounds like a much simpler but nonetheless joyful time of your life, my lady."

She watched the interaction with Gaul, Joran, and Riss, half-smiling but a little confused.

"That was quite a question, Riss. Or maybe something more akin to a scene at the end of a detective story where the investigator wows us with their brilliant deductioning skills. Needs some practice though..."

Galen thought it through. He had no idea who his parents were, but he had dreamt up all sorts of stories about them as a child. If he applied the rest to Janus, it was true, from a certain point of view. She probably wasn't referring to the life of a slave, though.

[Riss]

Riss passes a brief, if strained smile toward Kat, then focuses on Gaul. A small smirk being put on, "No offense meant by it but.. kriff. Didn't think it'd be taken like that," she says, bringing a hand up to the bridge of her nose. Another inhale, another exhale, she puts on a smile and looks to Gaul once more, "Well, I'll show you a neat trick then. One you might like, mmm? You'll have to pay attention for this one," she says, a half laugh as she walks over toward where the assembled drinks were and took another two bottles in her off hand between her fingers.

Turning about she gave the two bottles a raise toward the group as if a sign-off and started to walk away.

Veeone clicked the safety catch on to its rifle and returned it to the racks. It whirred as it turned its head to look at each organic in turn.

"This droid is killing me, well, salutations my friends... and non friends. I have enjoyed this wonderful outing," he said before departing.

[Cynella Andrim]

Cynella, who had been willing to watch the events unfold, kept her hands entrenched in her jacket's pockets. The brothers reminded her of her dynamic between her own siblings, in a way. Where do I fit in among that dynamic then? Was a question when she next spoke with them.

She watched Joran go, glad to have at least heard that he appeared to be of the same mind regarding noble responsibilities. With that hope in mind, she took this as a sign for her to leave as well.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie did give her a small smile and a nod before turning her attention to what just unfolded. She narrowed her eyes on Riss, wondering if she made a misstep in her or if it was all part of the plan. To be honest, it very much seemed obvious it was the former. What seemed like a decent outing had a slight sour note to it and everyone could feel it. She shot a look of concern as she watched Riss walk with her alcohol disappearing trick, which was concerning.

After an awkward pause, she would turn her attention to Kat as she remembered her manners to close one loop at least. "It was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Aurilie Alde, Prince of Mount Joral."

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Kat watched Riss do her party-trick and make off with the booze. Then the prince doing a similar thing.

Jesus Toboga... they're the kriffin' same.

At least she could focus on the lady speaking with her. "Katarzyna Ulgo, Jedi Knight. A pleasure to meet you, your grace. It's been many years since I last saw Mount Joral... I hope the war wasn't too hard on it?"

[Aurilie Alde]

She gave a cool shake of her head at the question. "For better or worst, we've found ourselves too remote to take too much damage in the conflict. Of course, there might have been some stray bombings and scare of nearly enemy patrols around the Juran Mountains. They were likely more lost than seeking out the settlements on Mount Joral. Unfortunately, it didn't allow us to contribute much to the fight either with our meagre population. Mining operations had been more difficult than usual with the reduced workers...but thankfully the war ended before we ran into a resource scare..."

After a moment, she would look in the direction of Riss's departure before speaking once more. "A friend of Riss, I take it?"
