It is disorienting trying to feel a hive mind, the emotions are alien to her, it is chorus all in motion and it is drawing not from a singular sense but a collective, there is a still a sea of minds it can draw from, but it feels diminished.

In short it is alien, it may not simply understand their intent.

Individual drones even a number of them have no meaning to it if it has no connection to it, she can surmise.

Baesal could not help but find the alien nature of the hive mind absolutely fascinating. She also realized that the alien nature went both ways they too found the group alien.
