"Yea, they would," she says, not so much leaning off his shoulder as finishing scooting up right next to him so that she was right along his side. Head turning into looking at him, hand on his shoulder for support and the other resting on his thigh for the same. Meeting his gaze, she's close and it'd probably seem almost suddenly, "What about not dating? Just.." she smirks, recalling a definition of herself from before, "a few nights with a dashing, daring space captain whom just happened to be in town for a few days, maybe a week?" she almost glances off as she lays out the idea but focuses back on him with a raise to her brow.

"One.." she starts, eyes meeting his, "two.." she glances to his lips and holds her gaze there a moment, "three, however many you think you can get away with while I'm here? Just little moments away from the monotony? I can come around.. we can relax," she shrugs, "play board games," she chuckles, focusing back up and meeting his eyes. Close enough for her breath to be felt just at the edge of its warmth. "Other things," she suggests with intent and purpose.

“I’m a responsible dad, not blind. Yeah that sounds nice, I just don’t want the kids to get… a few days for us might be nothing but to a kid that’s like forever and they can get attached,” he said warmly.

“But when you put it that way Miss Dashing Captain… maybe.”

"You're the dad, just tell me what to do, and how to manage 'em," she flashes a smile into the closeness. While a few seconds pass before she does anything, she didn't wait for a response before leaning forward and kissing him if he allows her to. It's soft at first, but quickly grows in a needy sort of passion which has her pushing herself into him a bit more than she was prior.

This time Bryson reciprocated and was quite into it. He finally pulled back and said, “Well… um, yeah.”

As he pulls back she lingers there a moment, a pleased smile disturbed by the light biting of her lip, "Yea?" she chuckles warmly. Shifting a bit, something he feels entirely as her weights on him quite a bit, she leans over to the side, placing a quick affectionate kiss onto his cheek before leaning back off of him. Taking a second to herself she readjusts her clothing.

"We should probably talk about earlier too.. but first, " she shifts so that one leg is off the side while the other is bent to sit facing him. "Wanna show me around a little?" she glances toward the building again. "Assuming you don't mind sharing a bed tonight?" she asks with a brief smirk, but there's that look in her eye which conveys she's pretty certain about the answer.

Hand coming to his shirt she gives it a little tug before shifting onto her feet, rising with him. Moving into him as she rose she puts a hand in the beard and gives him another kiss, this one lasting but a brief moment before pulling back. Sliding her hands down his arm she takes a hold of his hand and leans into his shoulder. Giving some space to walk she leans off his shoulder, a light laugh, "Don't think it'll surprise you, but I've heard that before," she shakes her head.

"That is a good thing though, right?" she asks, a smirk as she looks to him.

He chuckled and then said, "You're going to be the death of me."

"But I guess I should give you the tour."

"I've heard that before too," she chuckles with a bubbly warmth, leaning up into him again as a nudge on that note. With a nod, she looks forward, and follows along with her hand in his. Sitting with a thought for now, the recollection of a memory as she just enjoys being close with him for the time.

"A few less than you might think actually. Being on a ship.. tends to be more ports, captain's quarters, and shady hotel rooms," she says with a brief laugh, ending in something more like a giggle. Shaking her head a little she shifts, "Been in a few really nice places too for a little while. Some of them you wouldn't believe. Galaxy's.. kinda full of a lot of really interesting things, folk. Don't.. see that when you grow up here. Sure, you learn about it and hear about it, but seeing it? Totally different," she says, there's a passive warmth in her voice as she speaks with him that seems to remain and has no plans of dissipating.

The tour is brief before they enter the large bedroom with a fireplace and a painting of a younger Bryson and his wife set upon the mantle.

"And this is the master bedroom," he offered.

Hitting this room took a different tone, different attention. Stepping forward ahead of him her hand left his as she walks into the room, a short whistle, "Nice room.." she says, distracting a bit from her attentions toward the decorations. Merely a perfunctory look across the rest of the room but the mainstay was the painting set up on the mantle, that was the one that really claimed her attention. Walking over before it she just gets into position to where she could view it more properly and stands there. Hands finding their way comfortably resting on her hip.

"So it does.." she says, her voice drifting a little as her focus rests on the painting a moment longer. One arm crossing over her midsection to hold onto the elbow of the other. Regarding the painting in that moment she appraises the differences in the man before her, the changes of age, she was the type to be more partial to the man in front of her now but he was still good looking back then. His wife was too, if Riss was of a mind to admit that, but probably not the time or place. Instead she just spends ten seconds or so, committing what she looked like to memory. Why? No particular reason other than she felt like it did something.. proper, in respect.

Putting up a smile that she manages to adopt more naturally she walks over toward him, "How long would it take to set up the fireplace?" she asks, raising a brow. "Always find that's.. romantic? Cozy," she confirms with a small smile. Standing before him just by his knee's at the edge of the bed. Having been wearing the sweatshirt over her more casual outfit underneath she slowly works down the zipper, tossing it aside. Underneath was a caged crop-top which was a light red in color, the most favorable part about it being how well it showed off her stomach.

"You're in luck I am a fireplace expert, which is rare," he said rising and grabbing some wood neatly piled up and started on the fire.

"It's a lost art."

"You're a rare expert on a lot of things," she teases, scrunching her nose and shaking it a little at him. "My dad used to rave about them," she says, as he stands she turns so that her back is to the bed and lets herself fall most of the way, taking the seat where he once was instead. Leaning forward onto her knees she rests her head in the palm of her hand as she watches him. "Never would consider altering the place to put one in though. So it was always the same every time. 'I want one,' 'then get one,' and then he'd just look at you all pensive and say 'maybe.' But it never really was a maybe."

"He was a maybe guy... I like the classic, I'll think about," he said in reply.

"Spoiler, I didn't think about it, but it buys you some time and sometimes kids just forget."

"Sometimes," she chuckles briefly, warmly as she shakes her head. Other hand resting across the other knee it lays out in the open space in front of her. Resting in the one palm her viewing of him gets a subtle shift to the side. "Though.. with me and Hir if that was his plan he was sorely mistaken. Course when she confronted him on it, it was all.. proper and kriff. I mostly just got into shouting matches," she sighs, shaking her head. "Thing is Meiss woulda let him just.. do whatever for all time," she shrugs. "I think he just had a problem with committing to things, decisions being big and scary and everything."
