The ruins are definitely their lair. At least 8-10 mutated hounds, not including Black Tooth. Chemical clouds in the air, which may indicate sentient inhabitants experimenting or an ongoing chemical reaction. Mauled carcasses everywhere, including thrantas and some humanoids. They heard Galen approaching and came running. He blew up a fuel container to cover their escape.

Just relayed part of this info in the thread, but:

- There's apparently a sink hole in one of the ruined structures, that seems to lead into a cavern system or something like that;
- There seems to be some sort of intellect controlling/ guiding the hounds. A dark, evil intellect...

So goes back to the possibility that there might be some Sith alchemy or such at work.

Sounds like time for lightsabers and blasters then in dealing with it.

V1 can pretty much do any time. Don't think I'm beholden to any events on day 4.

I would suggest we avoid the midday sun if we can though. I expect the heat will effect us more than the mutated kath hounds.

Agreed. Early in the day or after sundown sounds best to avoid the heat.

If the scouting thread was any indication, it does seem like the pack is out at night. We saw Black Tooth going in to the ruins. However, whoever is controlling them will probably keep them close after the explosion.

Who will be going out to deal with the Hounds + their master on Day 4 then?

Combat sounds pretty likely, so we should probably try to aim for a manageable number (4 to 5 me thinks), make it easier on the GM.

I volunteer Kat, but will yield if someone who doesn't have much plot otherwise wants to go into a fight.

That sounds about right. If there are a lot of people who want in, maybe DD will allow for a second group to do a surface combat as a distraction.

My guess is that this would be better for short range and melee combatants, if its going to be in underground caverns. I'm better at long range, but I'm pretty good close up now, too.

V1 actually does more damage with ranged at point blank than distance due to Point Blank talent! That said, also not a slouch at melee with a fusion cutter.

I'm fairly defensible and good with a saber but I think it would be better that I support the strike group with gear and stuff to let other have the spotlight

But maybe we'll have two teams?
