Day 3 EM: Amongst the ruins

[Azura Mora]

"...So..."

She looked at the cat beside her then back at the Jedi/Sith standoff.

"You two want a moment to yourselves? I found a hatch, gonna open it but it's sealed so gotta cut into it."

It didn't sound like a question but she did look more to Zeno for confirmation.

Breela looked at Zeno and Baesal, shook her head, then dumped out the remaining caf. "Force preserve us, could one of you lightsaber wielders get to cutting please?" She called.

Then turning to Azura she whispered, "Believe it or not I'm just as weary of the sabre measuring as you are."

"Affairs with house Syrush are conccluded when House Syrush and House Thul agree on that. Nobody outside our houses other than the queen can dictate otherwise," Zeno says. "There may very well be more killiks hidden within those tunnels. Never was it claimed that we had concluded our mission entirely. So you are incorrect once again. But as I said, I have no intention of trying to deny access to anyone that wishes to help. Unlike you I am not going to put prejudice before the safety and security of a noble house of Alderaan. I will gladly work with you."

''What remain of the Hive is gone, Zeno. Only some of the drones remain. One thing I am sure does not pertain to your mission is the plundering of House Syrush's affairs by a House that is the rival of House Organa: their liege.''

She looked at his in the eyes trying for one last time to make him understand

''There is something more going on with the killiks then it appears and this is why the Jedi Order must have authority in this case. As someone involved deeply in Alderaan's political structure and as an alledged former Sith Lord anything you find can be dismissed, tainted or skewed... especially if it is found after the fact in a situation like this one. I, however, have no stakes in the political intrigue as you can attest for yourself since I did not involve myself in the events. If I find something then it will be harder to put aside.''

She raise both eyebrows

''Do you understand? If you truly care for Alderaan and are not the cause of this nor wish to exploit the situation to your personal benefit then my compromise both suits our needs and gives us coverage and legitimacy.''

[Zeno Thul]

"I don't care about plundering the house's things. I have no interest in that," he says with a shrug. "My concern is for the safety of Syrush's lands. But whether or not anything ends up in the museum is up to them, unless you've got some specific correspondence that grants the right of disposition of items found on their land," Zeno says.

"But by all means, let's work together to see how we can help House Syrush."

[Azura Mora]

Then turning to Azura she whispered, "Believe it or not I'm just as weary of the sabre measuring as you are."

"I don't think they're gonna stop, let's just do this" Azura said with a whisper, then said louder.

"Ok, openin' the hatch."

Then added "step back whiskers, don't wanna cut yer tail off by accident."

With that she stepped towards the hatch, drawing her pipe-shaped weapon off her back and swung it round, the familiar sound of a lightsaber following as the greenish-red glow of one side of the pipe lit, and she cut quickly along the hatch sides to cut through it.

(ooc - do I need a roll for this DD? Or can I just handwave cutting through)

I don't think he got it but, who knows. Nobles.

She turned and moved directly to the hatch only to see the idiot woman rush headlong into things

''STOP!''

Zeno was less worried. He may be less overtly vicious than Baesal remembered, but he still had his foolhardy side. He watched the slicing and smirked for a second.

Azura finishes slicing through it, then swings the saber back onto her back and pulls the handle up.

Then added "step back whiskers, don't wanna cut yer tail off by accident."

"Please..." Breela scoffed.

Breela lends a hand if needed then surveys the hole. If it's all good she climbs on down, not waiting for Baesal or Azura.

[Dapper Dog]

Inside is a small compartment with two now skeletal bodies in their clutching each other. Maybe it was a bolt hole but it's just old ratty personal effects now of people probably tied to House Syresh.

[Azura Mora]

Azura peeked down, before looking back to the others.

"All good. Bit small though. Back in a mo!"

She hopped down after Breela.

[Breela Po]

"Why?" She looked at the skeletons sadly, "what happened here?"

She looks for any clues, anything that could possibly tell them why the hatch was sealed to begin with. "Is there a journal? Something in their effects?"

[Dapper Dog]

There don't seem to be much down here but old personal effects of little value and the skeletons. They were probably in a hurry and just... never got back out. But who knows.

[Azura Mora]

"What do ya think happened? They likely fled down here when the bugs took their home an' hoped someone would come back for 'em" Azura frowned "let's see if we can find somethin' to identify 'em and bring it back to House Syresh"

Azura moved closer to collect anything that might be useful.

"It's the very least we can do for them. But with these bones... I'm almost wondering if this is from the war."

[Zeno Thul]

"Well... the troop transport's got some fold up litters in it. We can put the skeletons on it and return it to Syresh. DNA sequencing can probably identify them if they were actually members of the house," Zeno says looking down and listening to the conversation.

[Azura Mora]

"It's the very least we can do for them. But with these bones... I'm almost wondering if this is from the war."

"Huh. Maybe, I ain't good at guessin' skeleton age. Let's pass 'em up" Azura said with a nod up to Zeno.

Zeno nods back down, ready to help out with the... is it really an exhumation if they weren't technically buried?
