Day 3 EM: Amongst the ruins

"If they are older we'll want a record. Let's get a picture of everything then move 'em." She hops up out of the hole and goes to check in with Baesal.

Returning to the vehicle, Zeno fetches some litters, passing them down.

She quickly tells Baesal what they found then fetches a camera. Once she returns she explains, "My thinking is that this might be from the war, or possibly older still. Either way the least we can do is document how we found everything. Being extra careful to keep the bones together. Maybe we'll luck out and get a hit running the dental records." She starts taking pictures from multiple angles.

The Jedi sat near and worked on a datapad in the meantime

"I think that's it," she says snapping the last one. "Let's get these loaded up."

She's extra careful with the couple. A few feelings in the form of a wish want to race to the surface, but she manages to suppress them.

With the litters ready to go she'll help Azura get them out.

At the end of their work she'll pass on duplicates of the footage. "Maybe it'll be of help."

Once the loading was done, and all was pushed up for Zeno to carry away, Azura wiped her hands against her armour and climbed out.

"Now I can add archaeologist to my growin' number of titles right?" she laughed, stretching before shutting the hatch.

She showed the right input location

She does.

Then she stretches out a yawn and nods, "That makes two of us. Never had any interest in old bones before. Still that was surprisingly... fulfilling."

She was also glad the yelling and fussing had come to a halt. The other side wasn't going to admit it, but obviously they regretted the massacre. Beyond that, nothing else could be done. Now was the time to gather up the drones, and the rest of the samples, and hopefully some progress could be made in understanding Killik physiology.

After loading up the corpses, Zeno retured to the area. Where Baesal and Breela were.

He takes a breath. "I suspect you still detest me for things I've done in the past Baesal. Gerald and Zash and everything surrounding that... Dantooine. I've been a monster, and I apologize for that. I will not stand here and claim that I have become a good person, but I have changed as all people do. I cared for both you and Moyr in my own twisted way, and I was angy when you left, but I have grown to understand why you did and am happy you have done well for yourself."

"Ah kriff here we go again" Azura rolled her eyes, leaning against the transporter crossing her eyes and waiting.

For what it's worth. Nothing in his bearing led Breela to believe he was lying. But she had a secret hatred for the Sith that she would probably never come to terms with. The only reason she was willing to listen to him was because she believed in change. She had to. It was the only thing that got her out of bed most days.

After she helped Baesal corral the remaining Killik's she would head home and take a shower. In the interest of hastening that eventuality, she stayed quiet.

The knight closed her computer, surprisingly calm

''While it is possible for people to mature over the years our actions still bear an echo through everyone we touch. I am not sure that there is a way to fully compensate all the blood that have been shed even with a live time of amend...but if you truly want to take that long road we can be there to help you, if you wish.

She inhaled

''I do not hate you, I know the ways of the Sith and what they force people to become. I truly wish to believe you, for you to turn over a new leaf and be a good father to your daughters...but we both know that dealing with the machinations of the Empire calls for prudence. I am wary of you Zeno, I have good reasons to. Time is one of the few things that will fix that.''

He nods to her. He had no intention of becoming a Jedi or Jedi like. But he had been drifting away from being Sith like. "Well, I hope that we continue having opportunity to work together in the future, though our scopes of concern are very different."

[Baesal Zyn]

''For now, yes.'' she looked around ''Having a focus on the killiks might be a shot in the dark but if someone want to use them against us we need to prevent it''

[Zeno Thul]

"Use them against us? Do you believe someone's affecting their behavior?" Zeno asks, curious. "That is something I'd strongly wish to prevent. If they can be used against one house, they can be used against all. Potentially even other population centers."

[Baesal Zyn]

''It is a possibility: The people of Alderaan has been dealing with the killiks for generation without any true idea of how they operate or think. You have seen the carnage done by the sound emitter...someone who understands the hivemind and the killik biology better could possibly herd them into attack or expand their territory.''

[Zeno Thul]

"A potential issue that needs to be investigated," he says with a nod. "Just as I didn't wish to torture them, I'd also prefer they not be weaponized either."

''Indeed. If a long term peace can be achieved with them that would be even better.''
