[Day 4 - LA] The Beach Episode (Twin Event?)

[Niall Organa]

Breela laughs at Niall's suggestion, "Drumming up more business for me cap? You wouldn't believe the number of girls that come in hoping to see you." She smiles warmly at Garth, "And it's good to make your acquaintance Mr. Ulgo. I saw you stand up to the mob on day one. Color me impressed. A lot has certainly happened since then."

"Ha ha..." It was only a tad awkwardly that Niall smiled, brushing back his brown hair with one hand. In truth, he wasn't that surprised...

He looked at Garth. "I'd heard about that. There was more of that unpleasantness yesterday as well." He frowned. "It's all rather concerning, isn't it?"

[Riss]

Kat pushed shades up to to her forehead, pushing some of her loose hair back as well. She had her game-face on now.

One hand was holding the half-empty glass of Sexy on the beach, and the other was ready. "Alright. Three..." the hand began to move "... two... one!"

Scissors.

Similarly positioned, Riss grins as she readies her arm. Nodding that she was ready, following suit, and the first- Scissors. This amusing occurrence got a chuckle out of Riss near immediately as she takes a nice good long sip of her drink. Giving Kat a look, smirking, and before she could comment, "Round 2 then. Three.." hand beginning to move "two... one!"

Second Round, Riss Paper, Kat Rock, another fitting metaphor for dear Kat.

"Looks like I'm picking first," she says, chuckling as she was all too pleased with herself. Glancing about those here, Riss looks to Aurilie first, giving her a brief smile before she focuses on Cynella, "Rhia, wanna come join me on my team?" she asks with a put upon pleasant tone.

[Omandri Rist]

Aurilie gladly took the extended hand and shook it, perhaps making her self-aware that this was one of the few occasions where she couldn't favour gloves with her outfit. She lifted her sunglasses to rest on her forehead. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Ser Omandri. It's not every day where the Houses of Alderaan get together and share the duties of playing host with the ruling family. I do believe that Alderaan is really due for a resurgence of good spirits. Are you familiar with volleyball?"

She gaze went to the captain choosing process, mildly curious at how teams were going to be formed.

Omandri gave her a firm but not too hard shake and nodded "Yes well good spirits would certainly be useful. Though I feel a bit of tension in the air myself." He ran a hand through his hair which he had let loose when he arrived but was now in the process of pulling back into a small top knot "but those are hopefully problems for tomorrow. Today should be all about fun in the sun and making new friends."

"As for volleyball I know a bit about it, played once or twice maybe while I was at uni but it's definitely been a while." He said with a light laugh.

[Cynella Andrim]

"Oh why would I ever give up on the occasion to be beside you?" Cynella asked, taking her place beside Riss. She fiddled with her hat; kind of a shame to put such a cute accessory aside.

[Gil Corren]

"For a Human? it's perfect," the Jedi says, a serene half-smile softening the line of her mouth. "Clear as plasteel and just cool enough. A person could get too used to perfection on this planet."

"I suppose thay could." Gill replied a slight twitch of his lips indicationg what was probably a bit of amusement. "But then I figure it can also be a bit too much for some." He looked towards the crowd for a moment. "Why so many people from here wander off to explore the galaxy I figure."

Both of them choosing scissors on the first go also got a small laugh out of Kat, and she changed her strategy for the new round. Sadly, rock was not a winning strategy this time. "Right, go ahead, captain Riss."

That Riss wasn't choosing Omandri was interesting, so Kat looked over the next choices.

"As for volleyball I know a bit about it, played once or twice maybe while I was at uni but it's definitely been a while." He said with a light laugh.

[Riss]

"Aurie, since your chatting buddy just got whisked away, wanna come play with me?" she asks with a put-on sweetness to her voice.

"Time to shake off the rust then, Omandri. Come on, my team," she smiled, gesturing for him to stand beside her.

"Aye Aye captain." He replied with a smile nodding to Aurilie "good luck out there!" He said with a smile as he jogged over to Kat holding a hand up for a high five "I'm glad someone here can recognize premium talent when they see it." He says with a clear joking tone and a laugh

She chuckled and gave him a high-five. "Hey, I saw how you were on the field yesterday, and before that too."

Riss made her second choice, so that only really left... the prince. There was something a bit ironic with him being picked last. "Looks like you're on our team then, Gaul." Oh my, saying his name instead of adressing him properly. Maybe the sun was getting to her. "You've played volleyball before?"

"Perhaps we've been thankful that these problems have been patient so far," Aurilie would say with a mustered smile. "But yes, games! More or less the same amount of experience then. We lack a great deal of sand on the mountain to find any popularity with the game but I suppose we could always consider playing it in the snow. It seems we'll be opponents in this one. I do hope to get to know you better through play at least. Best of luck, Ser Omandri."

With that, she gave a bow with a hand on her waist and meandered over to where Riss was calling for her.

She would direct a smile specifically for Cynella and give her a small bow to greet her. "And good afternoon, Lady Cynella, good to see you again. I hope it's not in bad form when we have something planned for later?"

She rubs her right hand on her hip to transfer as much water as possible from her skin to the fabric of her suit, then offers that hand--cool and still not entirely dry--to Gil. "I'm Tethys. Tethys Carrack."

Gil switched his salmon pink drink to his left hand and extended his right to shake hands with the jedi. "Pleasure to meet you Miss Carrack, I'm Gil. Gil Corren." He didn't seem to mind the wet hand, and honestly he had been a bit amused at the effort to wipe off a wet hand on a wetsuit, but he wasn't going to admit that to anyone.

"But I could be, or it could be something else? Maybe perfections just not the same thing for everyone?" The young man finished before giving a small shrug. He'd not spent much time thinking about it.

"Most important thing is to have fun, alright? Smash the other team, work up a sweat, and have a good time." Good captain-pep-talking. "We can cool down with drinks in the water later."

Riss smiles brightly, warmly, as Aurilie joins them. Giving a moment, she nods for the group at large. "Like Kat said," she says, turning her back on the other team and stepping back to address Cynella and Aurilie. Looking between them both she wears a bright smile that has this teasing aura to it. "And the way to have fun is to win. We're gonna destroy those other guys. We've got the most tight knit, well coordinated, and dangerously pretty team and they've got Kat. Dazzle 'em, win the game and leave them stunned wishing they'd never crossed us, mm?" she returns with that bright, teasing smile. Throwing her hand out into the space between the three of them.

"I take it you're Alderaanian yourself, Mr. Corren?" She walks a little further up the beach from the water, bare feet finding their way comfortably amongst the sand and pebbles. "I've been on the planet all of..." a quick mental count, "...five days, so I'm willing to trust your view of things locally is more nuanced than mine."

"It is by no means bad form. We've happened upon each other, that's all," she said, returning the bow. Deep down, she hoped that Captain Alderaan approved of her form.

Cynella began swinging her arms as part of her pre-workout limbering. "Are you saying we need to distract them somehow? I must say, Lady Ulgo is an easy woman to fluster. Not so sure about the men though."

[Aurilie Alde]

"I'm not sure if they've really crossed us, to begin with...but I like the dramatic intent of it at least." She as she held her hand up to join Riss's in a high-five of sorts. "You have the best team right here!"

"I don't know if we actually need to resort to slinging things to win," she said on a slightly unsure note. However, if they could throw drinks to be caught, she was very sure they would get the upper hand.

"You would be correct Miss Carrack, I was born ans raised on Alderaan, though I have spent some times off world seeing the galaxy as it were." He paused a moment before continuing. "And I suppsoe you might be right, I do spend a great deal of time watching the interactiosn of others, so it's likely I've learned a bit over the years."

He glanced towards the volleyball game. "Though I must admit I still lack understanding about a lot of matters."

[Garth Wayne Ulgo]

He looked at Garth. "I'd heard about that. There was more of that unpleasantness yesterday as well." He frowned. "It's all rather concerning, isn't it?"

"Fer a festival s'posed t' be about love 'n romance, there's sure a lot of other emotion floating around out there, fer those sensitive 'nuff t' feel it." Garth answers Niallbefore turning to Breela.

"Ah think ah'd be mightily outclassed in yer gym, but if we only undertake what we're good at, then we hardly grow, an' we stagnate."
