"I am fine with that," she offered and waited for the holo-picture.

Jocasta slipped out her datapad and snapped a quick holo. "Thank you for your indulgence. My sister wouldn't have forgiven me if I didn't get this for her... So, how are you enjoying the evening, has anyone caught your eye?"

[Katarzyna Ulgo]

Katarzyna was fine with just observing the socialising and mingling going on, as she stood to the side with her hands folded in front of her. The noble attire made her look rather statuesque with her posture.

"Caught my eye... oh Maker, no... I am barely keeping up with the parade of men trying to get my attention... it's dreadful," she replied.

"Oh? Your mother never told you of your heritage?" he asked.

She shook her head, "Nah... I mean, no. She was kinda distant... I guess you'd say. And she left when I was real young. Didn't see her after she left."

She added, "She's buried out on the Thul estates though... They've been real nice letting me poke around and trying to figure out what happened."

"On the Thul estates, hmm? It's not a guarantee just from that if she was associated with them, but it seems like a good place to start. Have you had any progress in looking into what happened?"

"I can only imagine... Your brother seems much more in his element with this type of thing. I suppose I should be trying to catch his attention myself, but I can't quite bring myself to step into it. I can stand in front of a squadron of troopers and issue orders, no problem, but the thought of wading into that," Jocasta says, discreetly gesturing towards the crowd of revelers. "makes me miss the battlefield."

"I can only imagine... Your brother seems much more in his element with this type of thing. I suppose I should be trying to catch his attention myself, but I can't quite bring myself to step into it. I can stand in front of a squadron of troopers and issue orders, no problem, but the thought of wading into that," Jocasta says, discreetly gesturing towards the crowd of revelers. "makes me miss the battlefield."

"Facing my brother is worse than a battlefield," she laughed lightly at that.

She nodded somewhat pensively, "Yeah... a bit I guess. I mean... I was starting from zero. So, I got to see her grave and all... and the Thul folks have been really accommodating. They made me a 'High Associate' I think they call it around here? And they have a guy looking into it."

She smiled and looked towards Ashlin, "I hope that doesn't make us like blood-rivals now or something! I'm not too up to date with all the political stuff around here, but I'm just here looking to help out where I can."

Galen had calmed down a bit. He still felt far out of his element, but the feeling that the predators had surrounded him had passed. Now, he could mingle a bit and try to adapt.

Alysele noticed the odd looking woman, and approached her, two drinks in hand.

"So....shipping is your business?" She asked, offering one of the drinks.

"Uh, yeah kinda" Azura was surprised at the approaching fancy woman, accepting the offered drink "I run an imports an' exports business. I've done a lot of travellin' though when I was much younger, so I guess travellin' around is my life. Names Azura, Azura Mora."

"Oh, I don't know, he seems okay. I've served with some troopers who fought alongside him and they couldn't speak highly enough about him. It's this whole arrangement, it just feels so disingenuous. I understand the necessity of it, the burden of being a noble, our duty to the people of Alderaan, but it's the charade leading up to the decision that doesn't sit right with me. The worst part is that I have a role to play in it as well."

"I will hold it against you as matter of tradition, but we can still be friends," Joran said warmly.

"Technically I think Thul is our ally, but some of them just rub me wrong."

She nodded. "Yes... I feel the same way, but... Well, you won't find me jumping the gun to start any more fights just yet. Besides, you seem awesome, so it would be nice to be friends. Hopefully the Killik project will even help keep things low key."

"Well, thanks. You seem pretty cool yourself." She said with a smile.

"There are plenty of reasons for us all to get along. When it comes down to it, we're all on the same team. I'm not all that great with hidden agendas and subterfuge... Bein' straightforward is the way to go."

Jocasta places a hand on Jameela's arm and gives her a knowing look. "I have enjoyed our talk, I hope we can have more like it over the next few days." She takes a step back from the princess, "If you are looking for a bit of entertainment for the evening, I suggest you spark up a conversation with Count Serenno. I had a rather enlightening discussion with him on the ride in. He is a very worldly man, and I have to say refreshingly genuine." Jocasta leans in and whispers, "And older men can be quite attentive." She stands upright and speaks casually, "Or so I've heard. I can make an introduction if you'd like."

Jocasta scanned the room and easily spotted the Count and waved him over. "Count Serenno I believe you have been introduced to Princess Jameela Panteer." She raised her now empty glass, "I am in need of a fresh Corellian Ale and was hoping you could keep her company. Keep the young wolves at bay." With that, Jocasta excused herself.

[Tethys Carrack]

"Padawan Hoshin is still learning. Even Jedi are young sometimes," Tethys says, lips quirking a bit further. "That rule is harder to master than you might think, too. His Master will be around here somewhere, should he really need fishing out of deep water."

"He's dreadfully young, like an adorable baby nerf," she mused.

"His humor could use a little maturing or work, but well... it made me laugh so what does that say about me?"

"Nothing bad, I think." Tethys chuckles quietly, a laugh like water flowing. "That your own nature hasn't been buried too deeply under your titles and duties, maybe."

She then steps politely aside to let Jocasta introduce herself and snap a holo for her sister. Tethys isn't in the race for suitordom, after all.
