[Day 2 - LM] Soup for the Masses (Twin Event)

“You Alderaanians are entirely too cheerful, it is an admirable quality,” she responded.

"That's a question I asked my mother, I am still awaiting an answer," she said.

"Sometimes, the best you can do is ask more questions." Galen offered, as he helped a family with their trays. "The more you can learn and understand, the better. You seem to be doing very well with that."

Apparently unbothered by any consequential conversation, the Count kept serving soup as if it were gourmet meals, with charm and subtle humour, cleverly interspersing his waiter's act with good words on the benevolence of House Panteer.

"Sometimes, the best you can do is ask more questions." Galen offered, as he helped a family with their trays. "The more you can learn and understand, the better. You seem to be doing very well with that."

"You think a great deal about this kind of stuff," he said curiously.

Just like when I'm leading my troopers into battle, I have think ahead, of what obstacles we might face and what the consequences of my decisions and actions might be. If I don't then who will?

He shrugged. "I suppose in that case, we should just be ready for whatever comes. That may mean work like this." He waved a hand around. "Or it may mean... well, I am a soldier. Sometimes the best way you can help is to make sure people are protected."

The Queen's Guard entered through the Royal entrance and then Unther commanded, "Her majesty the Queen of Alderaan! Queen Solara Panteer."

The words gave people time to prepare for her imminent arrival. Guests made sure to to stop what they were doing and prepare to kneel or salute as was their duty.

[Riss]

A member of the background at the moment Riss nearly knocks over someone's cup at the announcement but dextrous hands catch it. A smile of an apology as she sets it right and finds herself a rag and offers it, but there wasn't a spill so she's just stood there awkwardly for a moment before she joins in with everyone else doing what's proper.

[Zeno Thul]

"Well, well, if it isn't the good doctor from last night." She said coquettishly. While she was happy to see him he might notice her occasionally looking in the direction of both Zeno & Ziandra Thul. "I hope you didn't have too much fun without me."

One more pair of eyes was unnoticed among likely dozens that probably looked at him with different motivations like curiosity or anger. He just continued waiting on visitors with a pleasant air about him. He didn't let anything bring his mood down, because that would be unbecoming.

[Delmi Koor]

Delmi snapped out of her mental strategy meeting with herself and turned her attention to the arrival of the Queen, paying the proper respect for one of her station.

Galen set down the tray he was carrying and waited.

He had been so into his duties that he hadn't really heard the announcement, but when people went silent and still he did so as well, looking in Unther's direction.

Kat had nodded to her-fellow-dishwasher-Gil as they worked, but she had been perfectly fine to continue the good work in silence...

Until the announcement of the queen's arrival. She wiped her hands dry on a nearby towel before passing it to Gil, and took a step back, ready to pay proper respects to the monarch.

After seeing the arrival of the Queen's Guard and hearing Prince Unther's pronouncement, Jocasta quickly came to attention by reflex.

Aurilie straightened her shoulders at the announcement of the queen. She stacked the last bit of the dishes, putting the saucers atop saucers and doing the same with the bowls in quick order. Using her foot and hips, she would nudge the unused chairs under the tables. The last thing that was needed around here was a tripping hazard.

Once that was quickly done at her table, she would roll her cart by the wall and placed her arms behind her.

[Layne Hoshin]

Well, she had been a little late... but remarkably... Layne was there. Doing the whole soup thing. So was her padawan, who might be even less enthused about it than Layne had been back when she'd first served soup to people.

[Kellen Rist]

Kellen finished ladeling then straightened at the announcement of the Queen's arrival. You didn't want soup going in someone's eye due to a sudden entrance, no that wouldn't do. He easily slipped into parade ground mode and waited to see what the Queen intended. In any case, he couldn't exactly serve while the soup requesters were kneeling.

Gil took the towel with a nod of thanks and wiped his own hands before folding it twice and setting it to the side.

He wasn't sure am apron was proper attire in front of a monarch, bit it would have to do, so he also took a step back and waited for the queens arrival.
