[Day 4 - LA] The Beach Episode (Twin Event?)

After the bombing and other stressful situations that occurred yesterday, both that involved himself and others, everyone decided this was the day to hop out to the beach and relax. There was something strange about this whole thing. Not to mention the job he was on yesterday. Lots of mysteries.

And his left shoulder was sort of bruised from the whole Huttball experience. What a disappointment that was. Either way, time for more recon of some of the potential players of this game. Afterwards, shopping and some other things. It was time to get serious about his task.

Pitching up a umbrella in the dirt, the lake itself was serene and enjoyable. Also hard to recall the last time he actually got so close to a large body of water without flying over it. He had been stuck on what was, more or less, one big swamp moon for almost a few months, so a nice change of scenery of waterways was something of note. He at least made sure to have on the appropriate attire of a white shirt and some human shorts with some flower designs on it. Didn't want to cause too much attention here, especially from observing everyone. Had to do his best to blend in. The sun made it extra hard to look at heat signatures, though. Hard to figure out people when they are surrounded by heat.

He was a disadvantage here. Just best to stay under the umbrella for now while he adjusted his eyes. His legs were still just as blue as his top and face were, with no indications that he had a tan, much less if he could. Either way, after he sat down, he pulled out his datapad and began starting to making a list of things he would need for the next step of the operation.

[Jocasta Teraan]

Jocasta eagerly made her way to the beach, towel in hand with her Lancer wrapped inside(she would not be caught unarmed again). It had been forever since she'd been on a beach... for recreation anyway. She gladly accepted a drink from a droid in a silly beach shirt and quickly down it. The drink helped to calm her nerves, which had been on edge since she received the invitation to tonight's event.

A relaxing day at the beach what exactly what the doctor ordered... and maybe another one or two of those drinks.

Gil arrived at the beach in a dark blue tank top and charcoal grey trunks, carrying a small duffelbag one could likely assume carried beach going gear. The said person would likely be 30% correct, but that was neither here or there.

Adjusting the pair of shades over his eyes, he looked over the crowd. Well things seemed to be going well thus far.

Niall had worn beach attire for worse reasons. A royal event was a very good reason. And so, he showed up to this one, too.

He wore only shorts, displaying not only his physique, but also the reasons for two of his medals; two bacta-faded blaster scars on his chest, one directly over his heart, one a little lower, and to the side. Faded, but not gone, not forgotten.

Only true Captain Alderaan fans would recognize the swimsuit he wore as being from the limited edition Bankor Calendar.

Garth hailed the Major Captain with a wave and a smile.

"Glad t'see they still fit. Guess th' command life ain't as sedentary as ah heard Major."

Niall smiled, waving to his old friend. "Not when you have Mandalorians training with you. They really know how to work up a sweat."

He grinned. "How have you been, Garth? And what brings you to Alderaan? I thought I'd seen you, at some of these royal events. It was rather a surprise."

Sando extends a claw to a large pile of boxes

"His lordships loves a game so I packed a whole bunch o' nets for volleyball, beach volleyball, hutt beach volleyball and of course, grantha slam."

"Oh wow." Kat's eyes widened, which made her eyes notice the glare of the sun a bit more. Sun-shades were flipped down from her head to cover her eyes.

"What's Hutt beach volleyball and grantha slam?"

"Of course yer ladyship."
Sando hops up and continues sipping from his drink as he opens up the first box.
"Hutt Volleyball uses a bigga' ball. Kinda like a big blowup ball. Otherwise pretty similar except everyone playing it is usually bigger."
Walking along he opens a second crate
"Now grantha slam, that's a good one! You use this hard rubba' ball that can bounce off the sand and you just sorta slam it under a net rather than over. So you always get to slam the ball real hard at one another, it's real fast."

He grinned. "How have you been, Garth? And what brings you to Alderaan? I thought I'd seen you, at some of these royal events. It was rather a surprise."

"It were a surprise t' me too. 'pparently ma mother were one of these here Ulgo. Duke Bouris's younger sister, so seems ah picked an interesting time t' investigate mah heritage. Seems a fun festival."

[Aurilie Alde]

Ah, yes, Aurilie was half-expecting this. Where there was sun and warm weather, there was going to be a beach day. Potentially, even beach week. She would make her appearance in a vintage-ish bikini top and shorts. Admittedly, as she was a woman from the northern mountains of Alderaan, she was also going to drape herself in a cardigan top to avoid nasty sunburn and plenty of additional sunscreen. She also wore a big straw floppy hat and sunglasses for extra protection.

She would stroll in as she caught the announcement made by Gaul about this Beach Club. It seemed only right to honour the pact of membership with a glass of wine and a small request, as they were already deep into the day.

[Brannis Ulgo]

Bran had arrived quietly, looking bitterly unhappy, as did Kaleena. Her firm position that this was no place for parliamentarians had been overruled by those who expected results in the suitor race. If the twins even might be here, Bran was going.

Trailed by a skinny Bothan in a tankini top with a brightly colored skirt wrapped around everything below her waist, Bran's oversized beach shirt and swim trunks did nothing to distract from his sour look. After downing one of the required drinks, and being ordered to go for a swim since even Kaleena was getting tired of grumpy Bran, he started to look vaguely comfortable with the situation.

After a moment, he shook his head. "I'm glad you're enjoying it. I was actually married at the festival last year." Niall smiled. "So, ah, have you been meeting your relatives? Bouris and Yula and Brannis?"

After a moment, he shook his head. "I'm glad you're enjoying it. I was actually married at the festival last year." Niall smiled. "So, ah, have you been meeting your relatives? Bouris and Yula and Brannis?"

"Well seems y' can take th' boy outta Alderaan AND th' Alderaan outta th' boy." Garth quipped with a smile. "But Bouris weren't real keen on a rural relative, but found a tool he could use, Yula didn' fall far from th' tree neither. Bran n Kat 've been a breath o' fresh air in a stuffy castle though."

"T' be fair though, there've been some...intriguing individuals ah've met here."

[Tethys Carrack]

Tethys, like Kat and the other Jedi, might not seem to be the beach party type at first blush... but anyone who actually knows her will not be surprised to see the tall Jedi is already in the water, finishing off a leisurely lap out to the floating swim raft and back again. Tethys's idea of beachwear is a kind of abbreviated wetsuit--not exactly high fashion, but close-fitting and comfortable.

She emerges from the lake shallows as Prince Gaul wraps up his rather expansive speech, shaking her head and pulling her locs forward over one shoulder to squeeze out some of the water weighing them down. Apparently everyone is supposed to have a drink now? Well, it won't do to break the rules of the Prince's 'club.'

[Riss]

Kat moved a little from the poke, looking at Riss over her shoulder.

"I am relaxed, Riss." She said those words but still looked a little like she was standing watch or something. A quick glance was given in Gaul's direction, some concern showing. Riss had been there yesterday when the protestors attacked, so she could guess why Kat was wary.

"Anyone brought any balls or nets to play some volleyball?" she asked before drinking some more through the straw. Very focused on the drink for a moment.

Perfect diversion.

"Sure you are," she teases, scrunching her nose and giving it a little shake. Hand going to Kat's shoulder she uses it as support as she leans in and gives her a platonic peck on the cheek in the greeting. "I'm gonna go check in on something while it gets set up, be right back," she says with a bright smile and then makes some rounds.

To each of those she considered friends she stopped by, Cynella and Aurilie each got a similar platonic kiss of greeting on the cheek as she passes by quick. Keyhote is special, in that she'd have given him a hug like she would Omandri, if she was allowed to, but not being too keen on getting that close she opted to just give him a brighter smile than most and a hearty wave.

Others whom she recognized each got a quick wave as she eventually sought a quick moment with Gaul. Sipping on her drink as she committed to the effort.

Keyhote is special, in that she'd have given him a hug like she would Omandri, if she was allowed to, but not being too keen on getting that close she opted to just give him a brighter smile than most and a hearty wave.

Keyhote waves back languidly with a huge splash.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie tried to do her best to maintain her cool and stoic demeanour as she stepped into the scene impassively. The hat and glasses were really helping with the look too. However, when Riss made her rounds in greeting her friends, she couldn't help but crack a smile and return the gesture in kind. At some point, she was wondering if Riss was going to get enough of a circle to run an event of her own. Then again, she wouldn't be maintaining much of a low profile, nor was she doing that at the moment either.

She momentarily thought about this and quickly finished her minimum glass of wine before putting it aside. Strolling over to Sando and Kat, she peered at what the games were about. "That sounds like a bit like underhand dodgeball, unless I'm mistaken on the rules."

[Breela Po]

Breela shows up in an orange bikini and sets about making a spot for herself. There was no way she was gonna miss a chance to lounge by the sea for a couple of hours. And after hearing about the brawl at the last royal outing she wanted to at least keep an eye on things before jumping back into her other activities.

While setting up she smiles at her team mate from yesterday, "At ease soldier! Come pull up a lounge chair and hang out!"

[Count Serenno]

The Count appeared in tasteful striped swimming trunks and with a towel. He was no stranger to seaside leisure. His own castle was located on Serenno by the Belsallian Sea, famous for such opportunities, especially in diving. The Count wouldn't mind exploring the seas of Alderaan, but for now a swim would do.

it seemed seemed sexy on the beahc what wer most wer after, but Gil was little differnt and knew a thing or two about drinks.

So while not either one, if you were going to party why not be naked and famous after all?
