Subject: [Day 6 - LM] Semi Pro Mud Wrestling

It was a Museum double whammy as Professor Kellen Rist took on Dr Pimbo Boxy and the general public piled in. All it needed was some amusing cartoon sound effects. Kellen took great delight in suplexing the gungan into the mud, receiving a face full of dirt for his efforts. He was calling himself the Sandwich Avenger, while Pimbo had gamely taken on the persona of The Breakroom Bandit. Round 2 was a touch more civilized with Kellen having gotten the killing out of his system the night before. By the end everyone was laughing and clearly having a great time.

Keyhote gracefully slides through the mud on his back, eyes closed and humming quietly as a bow wave of the stuff seems to break all around him. Sando runs on the Hutt's belly reading a book, the two seem quite content in a slug person's natural habitat.

It's Sando casually reading a book in the midst of it all for me.

He set the basket down in front of her.



"Just a little extra energy, before we play in the mud." he explained.

Subject: [Day 6 - LM] Semi Pro Mud Wrestling

Warfare is all about surprise and choosing your battles, and attacking where your enemy least expects. Yulastranza was a gifted student of warfare and she had found her moment to strike. Dressed in workout tights she crept on the mud queen and then gave her a friendly hug and then a mischievous grin and flung her throw the air into the mud.

“There can only be one Queen,” she muttered dusting off her hands.

All the Mud-wrestling has been great, especially Jameela's parts, but this made me giggle out loud.

I knew this would be priceless when I saw the 37 steps, then I actually sat down to read it all.

I laughed out hard and loud a good 4 or 5 times throughout the writeup. Well done, noble knight!

Sando passes a pair of old fashioned aviator goggles up to Keyhote who sits across a truly gigantic (if elderly and awkward) Thranta.

"What does a noble knight have to fear from his steed? Rocinante here will take me swift as the wind and high as the clouds! Victory is just across the horizon!"
With a gentle tug of the reigns reigns Keyhote nudges the beast into action as it laboriously tries to take off
"Wait for us at the finish line with the good wine! Now Rocinante! Show them the meaning of haste!"

With a pained sound the beast starts slowly moving forward...until both bird and hutt find themselves wedged in a narrow canyon at the exit
"Come now! We just need to...maybe if I wiggle back...no, maybe forward?"
They watch every other competitor pass them before the exhausted looking steed pulls itself free and they set off once more!

Of course, if the launch area was difficult then the light winds of the coast were damn near fearsome and both Keyhote and his noble steed were blown backwards, then left, then up, then briefly upside down. At one point the two find themselves flying back over the launch area. It is a long, long time before the coast is navigated.

The canyons are swifter, if only because at one point Keyhote has to dismount to carry his exhausted steed across the dust to give the thranta a moment to rest
"Catch your breath Rocinante! For now, I shall bear our burdens!"

Finally the reach the finish line as labourers are beginning to take down the stands
"Hold there! One knight has yet to finish! Allow us the glory of completion."
Unfortunately...then came a light head wind and the labourers have to wait awkwardly for a good 15 minutes as Keyhote and Rocinante slowly and paaaainfully inch forward until they cross the line and collapse from exhaustion

"Well...well done. Truly, twas a race for the ages."
The exhausted bird gives the Hutt a truly filthy look but is somewhat revived when Sando appears with wine and a huge sack of premium seed. The three spend several hours drinking and eating their fill in solitude.

Subject: [Day 8 - Late Morning] Carnies and Corndogs

Aurilie returned to where the various gaming booths were set up at the grand fair grounds. It was perhaps earlier enough that the grounds didn't find themselves full of people but enough that people were already occupying the various games here and trying their luck. Of course, as she pointed out to Cynella, the games were rigged to ensure that winning was very unlikely. However, Aurilie had to admit that knowing this did make her feel a little slighted in the inside and there was some need to best these deceptive tricksters with some good old-fashion skilled. Besides, she felt that Cynella did win that stuffed ewok fair and square. Perhaps she could have some luck in procuring what was hers?

She strode over to the same booth as a few days ago, perhaps ignoring the snide snicker she might have gotten from the operators. Three balls, three chances.

Unfortunately for her, even after three attempts, the rigged pyramid of cans would not budge to Aurilie assertions.

For the moment at least Gil merely clapped along to some of the songs he enjoyed. He wasn't much of a player and even less of a dancer. Well, at least when it could be avoided.

Still it seemed like Kellen at least was having a fine time.

The woman had her own instrument, lovingly cared for and then marched up to Gil and said, “This man is worthy of my desires, and any who wish to take him from me know that my designs are genuine. Let any that wish to say otherwise challenge my skill. For he is Master Corren, the name means spear bearer, and I shall bear his spears with pride.”

And then she played focusing her eyes on her spear-bearer.

Once finished she said, “All your fears are mine now, Master Corren.”

Giri hopped into the seat and started tapping at keys to bring up internal security and started slicing. It was easy as she blew another bubble and then brought up the targeting reticule… “Like shooting thraxxian fish in a barrel… which is a really weird thing to do. Mental note come up with better one liners.”

“Also stop talking to myself… although I really am the best person to talk to.”

Meanwhile

Down at the security check point two turrets pop out of the floor and start targeting the heroes.

Kat looked at him with some concern. "Will you be safe here, your highness?"

"Safe is relative, master Jedi, but may the Force be with you," he said and then planted a kiss on her lips.

"For luck, of course."

It deserves to be here. The unexpected really cool vibe from this moment, and then all the little parts that followed from everyone putting in their piece.

Yulastranza put her hand to her ear and then said sadly, "Father, it's over. I know you have never known defeat, but for the good of Alderaan, lay down your arms."

The museum was trashed. Every so often there was a crashing sound from somewhere followed by a chorus of groans ftom hard-working staff. But the really odd thing was the bursts of occasional laughter.

"The Weeping Lilacsh by Jo-shef...Joshefer...Jo-cepherous Organa. What a shtupid name. Shredded. Fragged in fact."

Kellen had a datapad in one hand and what appeared to an expensive bottle of brandy in the other. He was walking around one of the wings speaking to himself, securobot, or saying who would listen. It seemed to be an inventory.

"Rose of the Morning by Ishy Risht. Disrupted. Ahaha! Ironically trashed by her great great great, and very very attractive, deschendent, Baronesh Risht."

There was a pause and the sound of liquid moving in a bottle as he took a swig. "Where was I?"

"What could possibly go wrong?"

Slowly he stood and looked at the surviving cabinet. It held a pair of some sort of stylised dueling knives with Mandalorian and Alderaanian symbols. The label said: "A Gift from one Warrior to another." Mandalorian duelling knives. Kindly donated from the Private Collection of Dr Lyseil Panteer. His eyes narrowed.

"Gil? I think I need to start drinking again."

Yesss give me that salt for Lyseil, Kellen!

"Looks like I leave Alderaan with a bit of love after all. The best kind as well. Conditional love is the most predictable form of love." She said with a half smile.

"I'll look forward to the care packages of pastries from my Auncle Xero." She said with a nod.
