[Day 4 - LA] The Beach Episode (Twin Event?)

[Hacha Tsuko]

"You two..." she rolls her eyes and gives Nudi the unclaimed bottle, "you're different than the others around here. But in a refreshing way. Cheers!" She takes a swig and grins. "I'm gonna get back under my umbrella, but it was good talking to you!" She leaves them with a wink.

"That is the nicest way that someone has called us weirdos in some time!" Hacha waves back as she turns to leave. "Thanks for the solvent"

[Dapper Dog]

"Hey," she says, coming up to his side. "Before you get into that.. just quickly, everything's good.. alright? Okay even?" she asks with a slight strain to her smile.

"Huh, sure yeah," he said not really paying attention.

[Riss]

"Huh, sure yeah," he said not really paying attention.

"You're the worst Gaul," she grumbles, and then walks off. Walking over passing Kat and leaning in to give her a playful little shoulder bump. Ending up positioning herself nearish Aurilie, and being sure Cynella got another smile as she did so.

[Omandri Rist]

To each of those she considered friends she stopped by, Cynella and Aurilie each got a similar platonic kiss of greeting on the cheek as she passes by quick. Keyhote is special, in that she'd have given him a hug like she would Omandri, if she was allowed to, but not being too keen on getting that close she opted to just give him a brighter smile than most and a hearty wave.

Omandri accepts the hug easily and has an apologetic smile while looking slight embarrassed "talk later? After all this?" He would ask quickly as they separated.

[Nudimsu]

"I do enjoy experimenting with toxins. It is a wonderful diversion from mechanical endeavors!" Hacha struggles with the cap of the bottle, finally reaching for a portable hydrospanner and popping it off. "And if you distill them enough, you can clean out engine parts!"

"Take care, then." Nudimsu waved her off with the beer in hand and looked at Hacha. "Beer has never really been my preferred toxin." He motioned to get the top off and did it rather swiftly. "But it's free "

Thinking for a few moments, he looked at Hacha. "Probably a good idea to keep the speeder. Going to have to make sure we get rid of any marks or anything that will lead back to the owner. Means new paintjob, maybe a tweaked engine. Just enough to throw someone off in case it gets lead back to us "

Tethys, like Kat and the other Jedi, might not seem to be the beach party type at first blush... but anyone who actually knows her will not be surprised to see the tall Jedi is already in the water, finishing off a leisurely lap out to the floating swim raft and back again. Tethys's idea of beachwear is a kind of abbreviated wetsuit--not exactly high fashion, but close-fitting and comfortable.

She emerges from the lake shallows as Prince Gaul wraps up his rather expansive speech, shaking her head and pulling her locs forward over one shoulder to squeeze out some of the water weighing them down. Apparently everyone is supposed to have a drink now? Well, it won't do to break the rules of the Prince's 'club.'

"How's the water?" Gil asked the jedi woman as she finished squeezing out her locks. He was pretty sure he'd seen her around a bit and in jedi robes, but they had never spoken. Still no time the present right?

"Well, ya've been round these people most a yer life, right?" Garth asked rhetorically. "What d'ya think of the Thul? Y'ever served with Miyi?"

"Oh, the Thuls." Niall frowned. "Well, you should know, Organa and Thul is typically not a good mix. It goes back a while. Although I gather things have grown more complicated in my absense."

He should his head. "I have not." Niall's eyebrows went up. "Just how do you mean, Garth, when you say intriguing?"

Garth runs his hands through his wet hair and grins cheekily. "Well, tha Duke asked me t' keep an eye on her, try'n distract her from Prince Joran."

"Ah'm not sure who got th' most distracted though." He admits sheepishly.

Niall's eyebrow went up... with an effort, he pushed it back down. "It's an Alderaanian thing." He said.

"But a date! Well." Niall smiled. "That sort of thing is what this Festival is all about. I actually married my wife at last year's Festival. Ah... not that I'm suggesting that." Niall waved a hand. "Still, you'd be surprised how many Alderaanians start relationships here. Or turn them into engagements."

[Cynella Andrim]

"A shame indeed physical health is very important." He replied with a smile "Well at least you can be an example of health and beauty to others."

He turned as the games were getting brought out "alright let's do this, we could have team captains or just decide randomly." He suggested looking at those assembled.

"Exactly! Leave it to a doctor to know what's good for people, hm?" She smirked. "It's part of why I admire His Highness, Prince Joran, so much. I think in this way, at least, we make an excellent fit."

"We should have room for you somewhere. We hadn't divided into teams yet." She looked to the ones around her. Cynella, Omandri, Aurilie, Riss... so six in total then when she counted Gaul and herself.

"So two teams of three then?"

Riss' exchange with Gaul gave her some pause.

"Looks like we're just about the same as yesterday," Cynella said with a warm smile. She waved over to Keyhote; she wasn't entirely she is he was capable of playing volleyball. Then again, he had managed the Huttball field... strange.

Despite her later dates with her suitors, Cynella went on the offensive with Katarzyna. "You know, when I heard you were a Jedi, I thought that meant you were all celibate. But I met one of your fellows, Alysele Organa, and she'd been married as well. So if you House Ulgo wishes to establish a relationship with House Andrim, perhaps a union between us would be in order?" she asked with one of her signature winks.

"I, uh..." she flustered for a moment, lifting a hand to make sure that her shades were indeed covering her eyes so no one could see where her gaze was going. "Some Jedi can and do marry. It... mm, is an individual choice, with permission from the Council. Knight Alysele has proven herself very capable of managing to balance her life, so... I assume that is why she was allowed to marry."

Her face did seem a bit red. "We are not celibate. We're... just encouraged to not have attachments, It's complicated."

"Now tha's somethin' worth congratulating Major," Garth replied with a slap on Niall's back. "So is th' lucky Mrs Major Captain here at th' festival?"

Cynella tapped her lips in thought, her other hand resting on her hips. "Oh I heard that she was, no, is a great Jedi Knight. She certainly had the demeanor of someone with her affairs all sorted out."

She shrugged, maintaining her smile. "Life is complicated, undoubtedly so. If you think about it this way, if I were to be so thoroughly seduced by you, then your dear cousin would no longer have to worry about me competing for His Highness." She smiled and then broke out giggling. "But I'm getting ahead of myself. My House simply wishes for me to find a suitable spouse here and you certainly fit the bill, among others."

[Omandri Rist]

Omandri held back a chuckle at the display between Cynella and Kat. It seemed the Lady Andrim had no issue being open about her desires and Kat being flustered was a cute look for the jedi. "Well perhaps we can speak of seduction and marriage after we sort out volleyball." He said with a good humored smile.

"Teams of three works well and we can add as others join up. It's not like this is too competitive or anything."

[Brannis Ulgo]

Jocasta eagerly made her way to the beach, towel in hand with her Lancer wrapped inside(she would not be caught unarmed again). It had been forever since she'd been on a beach... for recreation anyway. She gladly accepted a drink from a droid in a silly beach shirt and quickly down it. The drink helped to calm her nerves, which had been on edge since she received the invitation to tonight's event.

A relaxing day at the beach what exactly what the doctor ordered... and maybe another one or two of those drinks.

A swim had put Bran in a better mood, and with several folks he might otherwise chat with already engaged in animated conversation -- What the hell is wrong with Kat? She looks like she ate grazer chips and then got told what they are -- he went to grab another of the prince's signature drinks. And made it two, when he spied someone he recalled as a fellow veteran who he might speak to.

Walking over to her, a drink in each hand and wearing a beach shirt almost as silly as those on the droids, he called out from a respectable distance, "Lieutenant Teraan, was it? Major Bran Ulgo. And a drink, if you're so inclined," he says, smooth as a triple-engine tactical bomber under heavy air defense fire.

[Aurilie Alde]

Aurilie had a good idea that Cynella was enterprising but she didn't know that she was bold enough to seek a Jedi!

However, she did turn her attention to the game and nodded to Omandri's suggestion. If they were going to herd cats, it was always good to start early and while the sun was bright. "That works fine enough, especially when we're playing with low stakes...for now. Also, well met, good ser. I am Aurilie Alde, Prince of Mount Joral."

Jocasta was soaking in the sun when a shadow passed over. An Ulgo was introducing himself and she entertained several possible reasons he would be approaching her.

Looking to the side, she saw her own drink had only a thin layer along the bottom of the glass, likely mostly from the melted ice.

"Major Ulgo, I will gladly accept your offering. Would you care to take a seat and enjoy the sun with me? And please, call me Jocasta. I think Prince Gaul might have his bouncers escort us out if he hears too many formalities being observed." She said lightheartedly.
